Chapter 18: Connecting the dots

(A/N: Lee Chansung = Jungkook's dad.
Joen Ana = Jungkook's mom.
Park Minjung = Jimin's mom.)

Flashback

A long black hair with a thin figure is sitting in the restaurant, focusing her gaze at the gambling house at the opposite side. Her eyes suddenly filled with anger when she sees a woman and a man she's familiar with. Her husband. She suddenly gets up after she leaves the money on the table for her meal.

"Chansung-ah." Joen Ana calls out to her husband.

"Did you tell her to come?" A woman with shoulder length dark brown hair asks. You could tell she's loaded by that neat floral dress and designer handbag in her arms. Surprise filled her eyes as she did not expect to meet Chansung's wife.

"I came by myself. Minjung-shi I think we need to end this. You need to stop doing this to my husband." Ana speaks with her bold voice.

"I'm sorry, but I really needed your husband's help."

"Please don't drag him to hell like this. He has a family to take care of."

"And a good reputation to keep." Min Jung smirks. "You know I'm not a bad person. I'm just a woman who's trying to make it without my husband's family."

Minjung is always after money. It's everything. She believes.

"Go get a job! Don't blackmail my husband like this. You know he's hurt enough." Ana says.

"Look like you're head over heels for him. I'm sorry that he couldn't return his feelings. How does it feel to have a husband who's ga-" 

"Stop it Minjung. Ana, let's go home. We'll deal with it. I can't stand this woman any longer." Chansung said after being quiet for some times.

"Good luck on your way home, and Chansung, remember, next time I come to Seoul, you're gonna make sure they let me have that money with your credit." Minjung says before she walks away leaving the marriage couple standing there being dumbfounded.

"I hate her so much." Ana gritted her teeth.

She wishes she can use her family power, but because she has to keep it low. Being a 'powerful mafia business woman' she pretends to be. She can't go around and hurt people like a real mafia, and it would be too risky to take this gambling house down because it's under Jung's mafia. She cannot risk her family secret with this local gambling house.

"Thank you Ana. You're the best friend and the wife I could ever ask for. Sorry I couldn't be that perfect husband and return your feelings." Changsung says.

"Don't say that. You gave me Jungkook. The best that happened in my life. I got your back. We'll deal with this together, ok?" Ana connects arms with her husband.

"Let's go," Chansung feels really bad for what happened. He blames Park Minjung for putting him and his wife in this kind of situation.

Park Min Jung is a big gambler. People know her for someone who doesn't return the money she owes.They met here at this local gambling house. At first, he thought Minjung was just a richy rich person who likes to have some fun spending her money. They became friends since Chansung loves to have fun gambling too. They hang out. They drink. Nothing more than friendship.

As time went by, he found out that Minjung is a gambling addict. Real bad one who borrows money by using her fancy handbags, jewelry, car and clothes to make people believe she's from money, so they can lend her money and let her play. What they came to know later is that she's a big liar who wouldn't pay back the money.

Minjung came to know his secret, and she used that to make Chansung help her by his credit since no one lets her borrow anymore. This local gambling house is one of her favorites because they're like a mini casino. Her Disneyland she would say.

Present time

A man in his fifty walks out of the aluminium door with a bright smile.

"You all came." He nods at all the men in suits bowing 90 degrees to him. "Come one. Relax. Don't act like strangers."

"Master, we missed you so much. We prepare everything to welcome you home." Jung Mia says to her husband who's caressing her cheek lovingly.

7 years without freedom is a very long time. Jung Junsu exhales deeply and closes his eyes to the smell of freedom. It's been tough that his comfortable life was snatched away by god knows who. They have to pay for what they did for him. No matter how many people he has to kill. No matter what he has to lose. He will make sure to find who turned them in at that time.

Jung Mafia has been one of the most powerful Mafia in Korea. He owns all things illegal and dark like casinos that secretly sell drugs, nightclubs that have gambling houses in their basement or a hotel on the surface but come with prostitute service behind. Nothing is grey for the Jung mafia. It's only dark.

Jung Junsu was pressed on human trafficking charge. His time in jail was going to be a lot longer, but they do what they're good at. Easy peasy. Bribing the judge. Threaten the judge to kill his family. No morals, just pure evil. Junsu suspects Jeon dynasty for turning them in, but how? Since the Jeons are not so clean themselves. He has to know, and one thing he knows for sure is that he has to hunt down Park Minjung.

"Hoseok-ah." Junsu smiles looking at his beloved son who paid him the most visit and took care of things for him side by side with Minho, his oldest brother.

"Appa." Hoseok bows and hugs his father.

"Where's Taemin?" Junsu's question makes Mia's gaze shift down.

"He has classes appa. With Kai." Hobi replies.

"Glad to know you guys are working hard on it."

"Of course appa."

Hoseok's mission is to find who's the son of Park Minjung. The woman used to owe Jung a lot of money, and she hasn't returned them. It's not about something nonsense like money, but it's about the evidence Minjung has on the day Jungkook's mother died in an accident.

That's why they're hunting her son as hostage to get that evidence from her. What they don't know is that Park Minjung is a different kind of mom.

Jung's business went down after the incident. Now that they got back up.

They will hunt them down and snatches every single light away from them.
