Chapter 43: Jimin is the son
"Yes, I'm here. Thank you noona. I owe you one."
"You don't owe me anything, Jungkook. I wasn't planning to attend, anyways. In return, come home more often. We miss you."
"For sure. I've just been very busy. I'll try to find the time. Talk to you laters."
Jungkook hangs up. He checks on himself in the mirror again one more time before he walks out the bathroom, on his way to the hotel lobby. Yes, he's in one of the biggest hotels in Busan. Why? To attend Park Jennie's wedding. And again, yes, Park Jennie, Jimin's older cousin.
The young Jeon can't really hold back when the truth is coming so close on his way. Therefore, after he dropped Jimin off at the airport this morning, he decided to attend the wedding to get the final confirmation that Park Minjung is actually Jimin's mom. He's sure of it, but he has to be here to confirm.
Calling Jeon's guy and his uncles, he tried to find the invitation card, but he figured out later that Park did not invite anyone from Jeon or Jung. Jungkook came up with the plan to sneak into the wedding anyway. It wouldn't be hard for him to get in easily.
First, he has to be convincing by the way he dresses, and then he will go out the way to get in. Could be pretending to forget the invitation card, or he can just pretend like he's in the wrong wedding. Who would have thought that Jungkook would get a suit and invitation card at once.
Perk of having an older cousin who's a rising star fashion designer, he called his Sina noona to hook him up for a convincing suit. He told her the truth about his plan and why he needed a suit. Turns out Sina was invited to the wedding because Park Jennie would love fashion field celebrities in her wedding. It took Sina two hours to look for the card. The noona claimed she left it somewhere in her apartment's kitchen. It's funny for Jungkook how Sina didn't not take this wedding so seriously. It's not her nature to waste her energy with people she's not close with. It took one more hour for Sina to make a personal phone call to Jennie and get the electronics invitation card instead. She also informed that Jungkook is going on her behalf.
