Chapter 66: Jealousy.
Anger can never do anyone good. It's always something Jimin believes in until now but god, that felt quite good. Throwing glasses and dumping a bowl of ramen onto Jungkook's head a few days ago was pretty satisfying, and after that, Jimin felt that he's unstoppable.
This morning itself, Jimin just poured water and left over food on the floor and left while Jungkook was still asleep. There's that urge to want to give Jungkook a bad day. This doesn't count how Jimin tore the notebook Jungkook lent him in class this afternoon. Jimin has been rejecting things Jungkook offered. He basically placed the bottle of water on the floor of the canteen.
What's going with him? He's not the kind of person who wants to hurt back. He has a lot of patience, and Jimin has never done something like this to anyone.
This leaves him to doubt himself on so many levels. It's bad, but it feels really really good. Free. He feels free. Jimin doesn't know where that came from. He didn't expect himself to do some of the actions. When Jungkook is close with some girls, any girls without even flirting, it lights something up in Jimin, and he can't stop himself.
Their lunch time with the group was an example. Beside their table, there's a girl who dropped her phone, and Jungkook just helped grab it for her. Jimin saw that, and he just threw Jungkook's chopstick in the trash can close to them. Jimin hasn't been talking to Jungkook that much. The older one has been trying to make a conversation, but no replies from Jimin.
Jimin can understand himself that he's been jealous of Jungkook with every single girl in the whole world. Well, every single girl in the world. That. Jimin can't understand that. He also can't understand why he's not feeling guilty anymore for doing those things to Jungkook. He wants Jungkook to only belong to him. 'Mine' has been the word that pops up whenever he sees Jungkook.
'Mine' came up too while he was watching the basketball match Jungkook was playing. It's not unintentional. Jimin, who wanted to avoid Jungkook, came to the basketball match with Taehyung. His gaze never left Jungkook who was playing in the court. The cheering sound from the girls when Jungkook scored did annoy him, but how Jungkook smiled and chuckled at the cheering sound made Jimin become uneasy. Well, beyond uneasy. More like anger raging. Raging hard that he couldn't control himself when the game ended.
Walking out the basketball court, Jimin walks furiously in the hallway. He grabs his phone from his pocket to text someone that he's about to be late for a group project that was assigned when he was absent, and it's unfair if he doesn't help them.
"Jimin!" A familiar voice calls out to him, but that doesn't stop Jimin from walking.
"Jimin-ah! Wait!" It's Jungkook who's running behind him, and now that bigger frame catches up on his speed and stops in front of him. "Where are you going?"
"Go away." Jimin utters as he tries to walk the other direction.
"No. Where are you going? Are you going back to our place? I'll change my clothes, and we can go back together." Jungkook says. His jersey is wet. Actually, he's wet from head to toes. Not from the sweat but from the water Jimin poured on him in front of everyone when they finished the game. The younger one just walked out, leaving everyone to be dumbfounded. Jungkook was slowed down by some girls and his teammates who tried to give him a towel or something to change too.
"I'm not going back. Get out of my way." Jimin orders.
No replies from Jungkook. He just moves aside. The older one is not planning to complain about water pouring on him either. Deeply, he thinks he should get familiar with something being poured on him.
