Chapter 67: Where were you?
The walk back to their apartment has been quiet. For Jimin, it's simply because he doesn't have anything to say. It feels almost disgusting that Ten touched him. The man's hands are like squid. That's no secret, but for some reason. It feels different. It might be simply because this is the first time he's alone with Ten for a group project? During the time when Jungkook was ghosting, Jimin always brought someone when has to associate with male classmates, so Jungkook wouldn't be mad and worried. He was so loyal to Jungkook. It's pathetic. And this sense of feeling unsafe being on his own without Jungkook is lighting up some anger in him.
Jimin knows a bigger frame that belongs to Jungkook is walking behind him. Jungkook has been like that. Following Jimin around, but the weird thing is that at the moment, Jungkook is not trying to make a conversation like usual. Annoying conversation is what is missing.
Can't help it, the silence actually makes Jimin wonder though. Why is Jungkook so quiet? The younger who's walking at the front turns his head half way. Not wanting to admit it either, he's making sure Jungkook is still walking behind him. Oh god, Jimin just realizes that he's been softened down. Since when during these weeks Jimin is worried about the loss of Jungkook's presence again?
Even though Jimin has been throwing anger on Jungkook without knowing why that feels so nice, it's still him who doesn't push Jungkook harshly enough.
This is not good. His chest feels tight, not liking this. Jungkook should have gone away from his life ever since he told him that it was over, but the older one sticks around. He has been allowing that.
However, something in Jimin feels like a wage war at the thought of Jungkook disappearing again. Jimin's pace is getting faster as he mentally fights with himself. He can imagine himself wrecking the whole apartment down if Jungkook would ever ghost on him again. At the same time, he wants Jungkook to stay away from his face.
The thicker frame follows him in the elevator as they reach their apartment, and that's when Jimin realises some sort of thick tension in the air. Where is that from? Better ignore it. Not the first thing Jimin wants to deal with right now.
