Chapter 37: Promise?
"Good morning everyone. I'm Park Jimin. I am a copywriter. Today I'm going to be presenting a campaign for The North Face. Let's start with the creative brief. The objective here is to get people to come out and explore nature using something that's connected to social media. Our target audiences are people who're between 18 - 25, not outdoorsy or active. A-and, uhmm to solve that, we're going to b-be using ahmm usin-"
"Stop." Jungkook cut Jimin out. "You're like a robot now. And that smile is not working. Try to make it more like a conversation and less formal. I think starting with 'hello' works better. Say your name like you love and are proud of it." Jungkook says, crossing his legs while Jimin is standing in front of him.
Jimin is preparing for his midterm presentation, and the younger one has been super nervous since morning. Jimin has been on his laptop since morning, trying to perfect the work. Jungkook woke up to the sound of Jimin talking by himself about the presentation. When the taller one told him to have breakfast, Jimin insisted that he has to do at least 10 runs through today, or no food at all. No food? Weird. So Jungkook offered to help Jimin to get this done by lunch, so they can order something and eat at his mom's grave.
"Ok." Jimin then gulps and takes a deep breath. "Hello. I'm Park Jimin." He utters his name loudly. "Like this?"
Jungkook has to hold his laugh at how cute Jimin is being super serious and unnatural. "I said your name proudly, not angrily."
"I was proud. I smile too. You didn't feel that I'm proud." Jimin's eyebrows furrow.
"No. I felt like you were shouting your name. Try again."
Jimin lets out a sigh before he sits down on the couch in their living room area. "This is so hard."
"Come on. You can do it." Jungkook gets up and sits beside the younger one.
"How do I smile naturally?"
"You smile naturally. I think you just tense up when you present. That's it." Jungkook says, looking at Jimin who's putting on his thinking face.
