An hour or two later, Sin found himself waking within the darkness of what he assumed to be his dorm room. Giving himself a few moments to allow his eyes to adjust to the darkness that shrouded him, he eventually pushed himself out of the bed that he had somehow found himself waking within. "Castien must have carried me to my bed, though I don't remember falling asleep in the first place." Sin contemplated as he shuffled his way over to the door.
Not wanting to be the reason that Castien was disturbed from his sleep, Sin crept as quietly as he could and once, he reached the door; he began to open it and considering that it hadn't started creaking yet, he assumed that he was going to make a quiet escape. His plans to escape was delayed due to the voices that he heard coming from within the central area of the dorm.
"Are you for sure that he is so far gone that he is going to end up becoming a danger to himself or others?" a familiar voice called out and while he knew that he recognized the voice, currently he couldn't place the owner.
While it was true that he didn't know what those within the room were speaking of, he felt as if they were speaking about him which caused Sin to decide that this would be an appropriate time to eavesdrop especially since he needed to be sure that he could fully trust those within the room before allowing himself to ever grow close to them again.
"Yes, I am sure that if we all continue to act like he will eventually get over what happened to him that he will eventually succumb to the pain that is dominating his mind..." another voice retorted and this time around, Sin immediately knew who the voice belonged to. Before long, Castien's voice continued which allowed Sin to get a better grasp on what was happening within the dorm that he shared with the other male. "...if we are truly going to call ourselves his friends then we need to start acting like it; regardless of how he has been treating those around him."
Hearing that caused Sin to finally understand that since the incident that left him broken on the inside, he hadn't been that great of a friend and immediately; he wished to run out there and apologize to those who had gathered within the dorm.
Before he was able to even take a step out of his hiding place, another voice came gliding through the space and once again; Sin knew who the owner of the voice was. "I have to agree with Castien here. I hate to say it, but I believe that all of us would act the same way if the being that we loved, betrayed us like that." Lucius called out from somewhere within the dorm.
From this point, Sin slightly opened the door further and not a whole lot at one time in hopes of staying hidden for a little longer and due to this; he was able to see throughout the entirety of the dorm. Five beings were present within the room, with three of them being those that he spent much of his time with before the betrayal that had broken him. Castien, Lucius, Mita, Enmoria and Sandrin sat in various parts of the room and as they did so; it was clear that they were all too lost within their conversation to notice that the door to his room had opened.
Continuing to stand where he was hiding, Sin noticed that Mita was about to respond to the words that Lucius had just spoken. "Lucius is right that it is possible for this to happen to any of us, but are we sure that we can get Sin back to his old self without first finding out the reasons that Nohki had betrayed him in the first place?"
This question was one that Sin has asked himself over and over since Nohki's betrayal and though he would like to know the reasons behind the betrayal, he was unsure if he would ever be ready to handle the answers if he sought them out for himself.
As he was trying to figure this out for himself, another that was present within the dorm; spoke up on what they thought about the conversation that was taking place. "Before any of you decide to search out these answers for yourself, I just want to say that the only one who I believe has the right to do so; is Sin and we shouldn't force him to face those answers until he is ready to seek them out for himself..." Enmoria called and as her voice vibrated through the dorm, she held up her hands as if to try and stop them from doing anything that would cause Sin more pain then he needed to face.
While Sin was personally all that close to the elf and he wasn't sure when the others had become so, he was glad that she was ensuring that his friends respected his boundaries.
"...even though we shouldn't seek these answers out for him, we could always make suggestions on where he could look when he is ready to do so." Sandrin's voice fluttered out and since this was the first time that Sin had heard the younger half-breed speak; his eyes immediately pulled towards him. This action was copied by the others and soon, all eyes were upon the younger male which obviously made him slightly nervous considering the hint of crimson that took hold of his skin. "If you think about it, Nohki is still a student here and his belonging should still be held within his dorm room."
For a few moments, everyone just stared at Sandrin which caused him to fidget within his seat though before long; the group had smiles pulling at their lips.
"Then we all know what we must do. We have to be ready to be there for Sin when he wishes to seek out the answers to the question that has been eating at everyone's minds." Lucius spoke out and as his words came to an end, he abruptly stood from the seat that he was once occupying.
Once the group noticed that Lucius was readying himself to leave the dorm, they soon followed his example. Before they were able to make their way towards the door Castien's voice broke out around them, which pulled their attention away from their exit and towards the other being. "There is something else that we need to promise. Everyone present must make a promise that they will no longer allow themselves to be pushed away by Sin and even if he snaps at us or intentionally says something harmful; we must be ready to fight for this friendship and by doing this, we will fight for him as well!"
