"What in heaven's name have you all done?" the Grand Magus roared as he slammed his fist into the desk that he stood behind. Every student who had been pulled into his office reacted to the noise as well as the anger; every student besides Sin that was.
While Castien and the others stood at attention before their Grand Magus, Sin sat within one of the chairs clutching Nohki's journal to his chest. Though it was difficult for them to hear the mutterings that were falling from him; it was possible if the room stayed quiet and listened intently to the devastated male. "It is all Sten's fault...he poisoned Nohki against me."
Though it was clear that the words that Sin was using was angering the Grand Magus more than he already was; he chose to focus on one issue at time and was about to repeat his question though before he could, one of the students that he had gathered before him stepped forward.
"Grand Magus, I would like to apologize on behalf of everyone present for the damage done to the dorm room..." Castien called out as he stood before the leader of Kanerra and though it was obvious that he had plenty more to say, he cut himself off and gave a bow to the man that stood before him. Once he returned to his full height, Castien's voice once more rang around them. "...while we were searching for answers to help sate Sin's need for the reason behind Nohki's betrayal, he found something that caused him to lose all rational thought. During this outrage, his magic broke free and opened a portal that reacted to every noise he made, and this portal continued to grow until he was able to gain control over himself once more."
Upon hearing this, the Grand Magus brought his hand to his chin and absentmindedly started to rub upon the hair that adorned his face. After a few moments had passed, the Grand Magus brought his hand away and allowed his voice to reverberate through his office though thankfully this time around his voice contained less anger than it previously had.
"I would like to know what could have caused him to lose his control and open a portal that destroyed my Academy's property." The Grand Magus informed the group before quieting himself to wait for the answer that he asked for.
Considering how the only one who had the answers to this was Sin himself and since he couldn't really answer this question, his friends assumed that the answers must lay within the journal and before they would be able to give the Grand Magus the answers that he was wishing for; they would first have to peel Sin's hands away from the journal that he was currently clutching to his chest.
Due to Castien being the student who had chosen to have the responsibility of speaking to the Grand Magus, he also took on the responsibility of getting the journal away from Sin. Taking a quick moment to steel his nerves, Castien was shortly making his way towards the boy who had the answers that the Grand Magus was requesting from them.
Approaching Sin with a caution that he would apply to a wild animal, Castien began to softly call out to his friend. "Sin..." Castien spoke in a voice barely above a whisper and as he crouched down before the other male, his voice once more fluttered out around the two of them. "...I know that this is Nohki's journal and that you wish to keep it, but can I borrow it for a moment to allow the Grand Magus to read what lays within it?"
While Castien could tell that Sin heard the words that he had said due to the small twitches that occurred on his body, no spoken words were returned to him. Still needing to retrieve the journal from his dormmate and friend, Castien reached for the item in question and though Sin pulled away slightly; he eventually got his hands upon the tome.
Knowing if he ripped the journal from his grasp that Sin may react in an overly violent method, Castien began to slightly move one finger away at a time and when he had the entirety of one of Sin's hands away from the journal; he used this as an opportunity to remove the journal fully from Sin's grasp.
