Two weeks had passed since Sin and his companions had first introduced themselves to the Lord of House Khesta and throughout that time, they have completed not one but three separate missions which eventually brought the two groups into forming an official alliance between them. These missions that they have completed all included the destruction of safehouses that resided within the district of the city that was under House Khesta's control.
This same day Sin, and the members of his team that he had brought with him had worked with the members of House Khesta that were under the leadership of Captain Dryden had just eliminated the last of the safehouses within the district and were currently celebrating within House Khesta's courtyard.
While Sin was feasting upon the meal that Lord Khesta had generously provided for the soldiers and those that have been working on the destruction of the Pure Regime along with them, he noticed two individuals stalking away from Captain Dryden. Though he knew that it had nothing to do with him, the fury that accompanied each of their steps caused Sin's curiosity to rise.
Rising from the seat that he was using to eat his meal, Sin quicky made his way towards the beings that were making their way across the courtyard and towards the front gates of the estate. Thankfully, Sin was able to reach them before they reached their destination and upon reaching them; he was quickly flinging words towards them.
"What seems to be the problem?" Sin inquired as he stared at the two individuals that seemed to hold the same dislike for the Captain that he did.
Staring at the two beings, Sin was able to determine that both were of full human descent which wouldn't be any issue with him if they didn't hold any hatred for his kind. Besides being human, he could see that one was male while the other was female. During his examination of the two humans, he could also see that they would have to be close to his age.
"Nothing is wrong that concerns you though since you asked, I guess we will give you an answer and maybe you can convince that bastard of a Captain to allow us to join his forces!" the female human growled out before continuing with her explanation. "We have been searching for work for weeks and this was the only place that seemed to be hiring mass beings at once though one look at us and that bastard of a Captain refused to hire us!"
Sin could understand why they would be furious with the Captain and considering that they were always in need for more soldiers around here, it didn't make much sense for the man to turn away anyone who was willing to join them. While he wished that there was something he could do for these humans that stood before him, he had no pull when it came to Captain Dryden which he would soon be informing the two beings of.
"I am sorry if my presence here has gotten your hopes up, but there is nothing that I could do to convince Captain Dryden of reconsidering his position..." Sin explained to the two being which seemed to beat them down more than they already were. "...if I was connected to the hierarchy here then I would have been able to help more but since I control my own group that just happens to be working with House Khesta's soldiers, there isn't anything that I can do for you when it comes to Captain Dryden."
At the mention of him controlling a group of his own, hope flickered upon their faces which caused Sin to feel even more downtrodden considering that he didn't have funds to hire anyone to join their battle. "Since I assume that you are after payment then I am sorry to inform you that I don't have the funds to hire mercenaries to battle beside us. The only payment I can offer is the potential to become a Mage if you have the gifts inside you..." Sin explained as he turned to leave the conversation considering that there was nothing more to be said between the three of them.
Sin was only able to take two stepsbefore another voice fluttered out between them and considering that this voicewas more masculine than the last, he rightly assumed that it was the male thatwas speaking this time around.
"We might have originally come searching for a way to earn Crowns, but the chance to become a Mage would provide both of us with a much better future!" the boy called out as Sin faced away from the two of them.
Listening to the words that the boy had spoken, Sin found it interesting since he didn't specifically offer them a place within his group though considering that they were willing to join him; he might as well take them up on their willingness to join. Turning back to face the two humans, Sin saw that both had desperate expressions plastered upon them which would have made it difficult for him to turn them away a second time even if he was planning on it.
"Very well, I will allow you too join me though before you even get the chance to see if you have the gift running through your blood; you must prove that you will obey my command as well as have the capabilities to fight..." Sin explained as he held out his hand towards them while simultaneously speaking once more. "...during that time, you will have a share of any loot that we collect along the way. Do we have a deal?"
Just as it seemed to him, both were quite desperate for any chance of work and though he wasn't offering payment in exchange for their services; the offer that he had made was just too good to pass up which is why both quickly clasped ahold of his hand and gave it a quick shake.
Now that a deal had been struck between them, Sin pulled back his hand and motioned towards his companions that he had brought with him which happened to be Enmoria and Mita. The moment that the two arrived beside him, Sin started speaking once more. "We should return to our safehouse and see how the others are doing." Sin informed them before turning towards the estate's gate which happened to be only a foot away from them.

The moment that Sin and his group arrived at their safehouse, he sent his two newly acquired recruits which he had learned were named Roi Swail and Merci Rivers towards Lucius to be trained in battle techniques. Once the two humans had went to join the others that were training, Sin followed by Enmoria and Mita made their way towards the shed that they had set up to be where they performed their blacksmithing.
This morning when they had left for their mission, Castien had informed them that he was almost finished with the ore that they had collected, and the cuffs should be complete when they returned. Eagerly hoping that this was the truth, Sin hurried into the building where he was met with a face full of smoke which caused him to fall into a coughing fit.
Thankfully, this fit only lasted a moment which was helped considering that the open door allowed the smoke to clear rather quickly. Once his fit had died down and he could see once more, he saw that Castien was just placing the last of the newly crafted cuffs upon a table that was connected to the forge.
Excitement and joy bubbled within him as he made his way towards the items and upon reaching the table, he stared at three beautiful looking cuffs that looked to be the exact replica of the one that each of them were sporting.
"Castien...these are beautiful!" Sin muttered out as he picked up one of the cuffs and held it into the slivers of light that fell from the ceiling. "We are going to need more of these as soon as possible considering that I have already found us two more recruits. I am going to need both you and Mita to search out more Eslium as soon as you can."
Gathering the remaining two cuffs, Sin held onto them as if they were treasured items that at any moment could be snatched by a treasure hunter or any wandering thief. Wanting to place the enchantment that he has been practicing upon them as soon as he could, he immediately fled the building so he could make it to the room that he had claimed as his own.
