While it might have been easier for Sin to redo all his work that he had already done, he figured if he could learn how he had managed to open the portal in the first place after destroying the design; then this would be less time consuming then redrawing the entire thing. Throughout the process of trying to reopen the portal without having to redraw the design, Sin had been able to manage a few swirls of purple; they kept vanishing a few moments after appearing within the world.
"What is it that I am missing?" Sin growled as he watched as another swirl of purple disintegrated before his eyes.
Upon hearing his words, those who were gathered a few feet away from him; looked between themselves and since Sin was looking in the other direction, he missed the looks that transpired between his friends. With the looks that were passing between those who were gathered behind him, it seemed as if they were trying to determine which one of them would approach Sin and eventually it fell upon Castien to do so.
Taking a few steps at a time for fear that Sin would snap at him if he noticed his approaching him, Castien eventually arrived a few inches away from his friend. "I know that you may not want our help, especially after we messed up the design in the first place..." Castien called out which pulled Sin from his thoughts and towards him. "...but this isn't the first time that we have seen a portal open around you and from what I have been able to deduce; the portals are somehow connected to your emotional state."
Choosing to keep himself quiet for a few moments, Sin stared at Castien as he mulled over what the other male had just informed him about. While to Castien it might seem as if Sin was just pointlessly staring at him, within the mind of the half-breed; Sin was contemplating the words that he had just heard.
"If the portals are connected to my emotional state, then could this mean when I am overcome with pain or anger; that the portals become unstable..." Sin questioned himself as he continued to stare at the other male and just as he came to the end of the thought that he voiced within his mind, he decided that it would be time to question Castien on what he had seen. "...Castien, when was the first time that you seen a portal react to me in this manor?"
Just as Sin had done, Castien didn't respond right away considering that he was trying to find a way to word what he wanted to say in a way that wouldn't cause the memories of what happened to reawaken Sin's anger and pain. When he figured a way to do this, his words were quickly flowing around them. "The first time that you opened a portal without the use of the design, was when you found out about Sten's involvement in Nohki's betrayal. Just like these portals, that one was quite unstable and ended up destroying a good section of Nohki's dorm room." Castien explained as he continued keeping his eyes placed firmly upon Sin to ensure that if he lost it again, that he would be able to react in time.
While the memory of this still ate away at his mind, Sin didn't have time to dwell on his pain and anger at the current moment and as such; he forced himself to stay focused on what he needed to do.
"It seems that when my emotional state is uncontrollable, then the portals that are formed will be as well..." Sin concluded as he had an inkling of what he needed to do. From his months of in-depth study of Fae and the abilities that they had; Sin was able to learn that many Fae that were based in nature had a calming aspect on the mind of those who were nearby. "...I hope this works."
Reaching for his pendent, Sin allowed a hint of his mana to seep inside and as he did so; the portal that contained his Familiars opened before him. "Myrin!" Sin called out the moment that he spotted the portal and as his Familiar's name was called into the world, his Spriggan pulled herself from the portal's grasp.
Though Castien and his other companions didn't know what he had planned, they assumed that they would only be in his way and with this; Castien returned to the group before the whole of them moved slightly farther away.
Wanting to put his plan into motion as soon as he could, Sin looked into Myrin's eyes. "Myrin...I know that we have only just bonded to one another and that you may not feel much of a connection to me yet, but I need a favor from you." Sin informed his Spriggan as she returned the gaze that he gave to her. Upon hearing her Summoner's words, Myrin gave a slight nod which told Sin to continue with what he wanted to say. "Over the past month, I have become a shell of my former self. I am quick to anger and quick to wallow in my pain which makes it difficult for me to be the friend to those who surround me and while I know that I can do better..."
Before reaching the true ending of his words, Sin cut himself off as the embarrassment started to cause his hands to fidget with one another. Even though he hadn't finished everything that he was wanting to say, it seemed that Myrin understood what her Summoner was requesting of her.
With this understanding, Myrin soon made her way towards her Summoner and before long; she was standing directly in front of him. Taking both of her hands, Myrin placed them upon Sin's skull. Along with the placement of her hands, Myrin began to hum a slight tune that was unrecognizable to those who didn't originate from this world and while this should have been the case for Sin as well; something within him was pulled towards the tune.
Within Sin's mind, the music as well as Myrin's energy began to slowly fill in the cracks that have caused his psyche to become overwhelmed with his emotions. While this wouldn't be everything that Sin needed to completely heal himself from the invisible wounds that Nohki's betrayal caused; it would be the start that would eventually place everything back where it belonged.
Unbeknown to Sin, behind him was once again the beginning of a portal and while it may have started out just as uncontrollable as the previous one; as his mind began to slowly heal, the portal began to stabilize.
