Standing upon the Rift

While he was tempted to use Soren to bring him to his destination as soon as he was able to make it out of the dorms, Sin found himself standing within the building that he and the others studying Black Magic used for their craft. "My mind must have wished me to visit this place one last time before I go out on this new adventure of mine." Sin concluded as he traced the lines that he had placed upon one of the walls when he had successfully completed his first spell.

Though he didn't have much time to spare before he must take to the sky, he was thankful that his subconscious had deemed it necessary for him to come here before leaving especially since he had many memories within the walls of this classroom. Just as he was about to turn away from the wall that he had used to acquire the Fae that are partnered to him, the rumbling of footsteps flooded throughout the room which caused him to become frightened by the volume of the unsuspected noise.

With his surprise, the design that makes up the portal reacted to him and as he turned to face those who had stormed into the classroom; the portal flickered to life. When his eyes landed upon those who had come in and disturbed him from reminiscing in the memories of his life within the Academy, Sin spotted six individuals standing opposite of him.

Standing before him, were none other than his five closest friends and the Mage that spends much of his time teaching him the ways of the Summoner. Even though he was thankful that he got to see them before he left, he knew that meeting with them before he left would make it more difficult for him to go his separate way.

"Thank the Gods..." Lucius cried out as he stepped towards Sin. This only caused him to take a step back which brought him directly upon the portal and though none that had appeared before him knew the reasoning for this, they did ensure that Lucius stopped moving forward and when he did; his voice fluttered out once more. "...what is going on Sin? We have been looking everywhere for you!"

Lucius's voice was filled with a slight hint of pain and anger upon seeing his friend recoil away from him and though hearing this slightly pained Sin, he believed that it would be easier for everyone that was involved if he vanished without having too much interaction. Considering that his path was blocked, Sin turned and gave a slight look at the portal that was still flickering with life behind him and though he was unsure how he would manage to return from the Faelands; this seemed to be the only viable option that he currently had.

Upon seeing that the portal was still open, Sin was about to throw himself through it though before he could do so; another voice flickered through the area.

"Sin...where in the world do you think that you are going?" Sylris called out as he started to inch his way forward and since Sin was still faced away from him, he didn't immediately fling himself through the vortex that would shift him to another dimension. "I can understand if you believe that this world is too dangerous for you, but the Faelands have a danger of their own that are much more than what you might originally think."

Immediately, Sin was turning towards the one of the two Mages that he held total respect for and unlike every other time that he held the man in his gaze; a barely contained fury was swaying behind his eyes. "You are correct that the Faelands are dangerous, but the Fae only kill out of need and not hatred which makes this world much more dangerous to someone like me, especially when the beings of this world easily give into their carnal desires..." Sin snarled as he readied himself to be flung backwards into the world that contains the creatures known as Fae though before completing this, he spoke once more. "...before I am ever able to truly be safe within this world, I must find those that are fearing the same thing and together we will remove Sten and his pathetic group of savages.

Once more, Sin had to stop himself from passing through the portal as another of his friends pushed themselves forward. "If you are going to travel the empire fighting back against those who pose a threat to half-breeds, then you will not be going without me..." Sandrin called out as he started pushing his way towards Sin and with each step that he took, more words fell out around him. "...don't forget that you aren't the only half-breed that has been threatened by those murderous bigots and I will no longer sit on the sidelines as you throw yourself into one fire after the other."

By the time that Sandrin had finished with his tirade, he had arrived before Sin and the moment that he did so; he pulled him slightly away from the portal that was still bursting with life long after it should have run out of whatever mana had activated it.

Sandrin wasn't the only one to find themselves making their way towards Sin and eventually the two half-breeds found themselves surrounded by the remainder of their friends. Upon looking at those who would willingly risk themselves for those like him that are dying throughout the entirety of the empire, tears began to well within his eyes though before they were able to spill down his cheeks; he fought them back so he could speak without his emotions hindering him. "Thank you!" Sin whispered before grasping the closet of his friends within a hug and like how they acted within the dorm the night prior; the remainder of his friends grasped him in an embrace as well.

While the embrace between the six friends didn't last long, it was evident that the group extremely cared for those who made it up.

Once they had pulled away, Lucius turned to face the teacher that he shared with Sin and upon sighting the full-fledged Mage; his voice fluttered out around them. "You have nothing to worry about Mr. Orami. We will take care of each other and will see you again!"

As soon as he came to the end of his words, he and the others turned to face the portal and before Sylris was able to respond to the words that one of his students had gave him; they were passing through to the world that lay beyond. When the last of them passed through the portal, it started to shut and before Sylris knew it; he was staring at the design that had been placed upon the wall.

"How long are we going to keep trekking through this realm? We are all tired and could use a little break especially considering that it looks as if the sun is about to set." Castien inquired as he came up to walk beside Sin.

Currently, Sin had an abundance of energy spiraling through him and whole he couldn't see a real reason to stop considering that they have all only been walking for an hour to an hour and a half; since all others had went to their classes and done their assigned work, he could understand how they were tired. Before responding to what Castien had asked of him, Sin took a moment to look towards the sun which allowed him to see that his friend was right that in his observation that the sun was descending.

Even though he had energy that would allow him to walk through the Faelands for hours more, he didn't particularly wish to do it when he was shrouded in the dark. Deciding that this would be the perfect time for him and the others to rest for the night, Sin finally responded to the words that Castien had asked of him. "I believe that you are right Castien. We should stop for the night since it will be too dangerous to keep a steady pace through the dark." Sin explained as he dropped his bag upon the ground.

Seeing that Sin had claimed the area that they were passing through as their own for the night, the others quickly fell to the ground. While the others were lounging on the grass, Sin was continuing to stand where he had dropped his bag and since he had plenty of energy still; he decided that it would be wise of him to gather twigs and leaves for a fire that would keep them warm throughout the night.

Not wanting to cause his friends any more worry for the day, Sin thought that it would be best to give them the knowledge of what he was going to be doing. Without looking at them, Sin called out to them with his current plan. "I am going to go and gather some twigs and branches that we can use to start a fire. All of you can just stay here and rest while I do so."
