Midterm week came to an end and the only thing Huening Kai could think of is how he can finally be free from Taehyun's harsh tutoring.

Ever since the two boys became friends, they started looking out for each other, trying to avoid the walking chaos aka 'the rowdy boys'. Taehyun was also helping Kai in his studies since the younger sometimes can't come to school when his father needed some extra hand.

Knowing that Kai should be extra careful not to fail anything because he's a scholar student, he secretly worries about the younger's grades, but for Huening Kai, it's a pure torture. Taehyun is a strict one when teaching, he only gives Kai a 10-minutes break, very opposite to his usual 2-3 hours break when he studies

"You've been reading this book for 1 whole hour Taehyun, why not make out with it eh?"

He once made a commentary about Taehyun reading their English book to teach Kai the lesson he missed out and he received a smack on his shoulder with the book Taehyun was reading.

It was painful. It was a thick ass book. And Taehyun hits hard. But well, that didn't stop him from pestering his best friend every study session.

Kai released a sigh in relief and his seatmate looked at him and said, "You shouldn't feel relieved yet, we still need to see the results next week."

Kai rolled his eyes from Taehyun's statement and retorted, "Oh please, I know I did well. I have the smartest and the strictest tutor around here you know."

"Pshh, you barely listen to me when I'm teaching you. You're not fooling anyone here."

"Taehyunnie calm your ass, I won't fail. I didn't pass the scholarship program here if I'm that dumb."

"I'm not saying you're dumb, and you were literally panicking an hour ago because you can't answer than one question in Math. Did you at least put a solution to it? It was worth 5 points and Miss Yang always gives us 1 point for effort."

Kai averted his eyes from Taehyun and nervously laughed. "Hehe... About that..."

Taehyun's eyes widened, "You idiot! Don't tell me you didn't—"

Before he could scold his best friend more, he was suddenly cut off by their president shouting, "Ok everyone! Please take a seat, we have an announcement!!"

No one complied to their president's plea until their adviser came. "Alright settle down. I know you guys are excited to go home after this hell week but we still need to make an announcement. It's about the Literary and Music competition so please listen."

Everyone took a seat as they heard the last line from their adviser. As the room turned calm, Mr. Baek continued talking, "I heard from the faculty that half of our class are part of the teams that will be competing for the LitMus. Next week, your clubs will be conducting a meeting so you'll be able to know your practice schedules. The choir club's meeting will be held at 3 right after class, rotary club at 3:30, dance club at 4, then the other meetings don't matter in this class since you guys are not participants. That's all, you may now go home."

Every student started fixing their things and hurriedly went out of their room. Taehyun picked up his bag as he finished putting everything inside and walked towards the exit of their room with his best friend.

The two boys were about to leave the school gate when someone called Taehyun, "Yo Kang!"

Taehyun and Kai turned their heads and saw Beomgyu walking towards them. "Let's go to the meeting together next week."

The two boys looked at Beomgyu with a confused expression, Taehyun with an additional hint of irritation as he cocked his eyebrows at the older. He finally faced Beomgyu completely and replied, "Why? Can't you go alone?"
