Suffering.
For the last 2 days after Beomgyu came back to school, the older had called those past few days, "suffering".
For someone who barely studies and is used to wasting time at the class, Beomgyu suffered under Kang Taehyun's hands. Well, that's how he perceived it.
Not Taehyun tho. In the younger's perspective, it's called "helping" and "catching up". Taehyun gave him the notes to every activity and things that the older had missed on for the past 10 days and of course, told Beomgyu to copy the notes that he made for him.
The older never failed to whine and complain about how much things he needs to study but Taehyun retaliates by saying he already summarized the notes to make it shorter and easier for the older.
Those 2 days were pretty traumatic for Beomgyu and very productive as Taehyun calls it.
And as for the third day, it seems like the older had already given up. Clock strikes 7:17 AM, 17 minutes since the time their first class started, yet the presence of Beomgyu is still missing. Taehyun can only release a sigh. Maybe he was too harsh on the older.
He had promised Beomgyu not to nag him like a mother hen to its chicks but sometimes he just goes overboard. He thought of taking it slow so the older can have the time to digest everything he needs to know in particular classes, and yeah, also apologize for being too much.
Speaking of the devil, when he was about to give up on pursuing the older, Beomgyu came inside of the room. Good thing Mrs. Lee wasn't here today, leaving the students unattended on their first subject.
Walking like an undead, the latter went towards their direction and plopped on his seat without a greeting. Hyuka and Taehyun made eye contact, feeling something odd on the older, or was it from exhaustion?
Beomgyu buried his head on his arms that he rested on his table, not even trying to hide his distress and didn't even bother removing his bag from his back.
"Hyung, you okay?" Kai asked as he leaned closer so the older could hear him.
Beomgyu just shook his head and remained silent.
Not knowing how to approach the older, the two youngest left him alone for some space since he also radiates the "don't talk to me" energy.
Silence.
Just silence for the past few minutes.
Hyuka started fishing out his phone to play cookie run as Taehyun remained buried in his notebook, waiting for the opportunity to apologize for being too harsh on him.
Taehyun was currently reviewing some of their past notes to teach Beomgyu some other things he missed to make the life of the older easier, then he felt the presence beside him move so he turned his head in that direction.
Alas, an opportunity. Taehyun releases a heavy sigh and faces the older.
"Hyung." A soft call.
The older slowly turned his head in his direction, eyes screams "not okay" as he stared at nowhere as another wave of guilt crashed unto the younger.
Taehyun chewed his lips before continuing, he's been apologizing a lot these days, he noticed.
"I'm sorry. I should have been a little bit more considerate. I'll teach you things slower."
Beomgyu's gaze met his and a small forced smile slipped on his lips as he nodded slightly.
He diverted his gaze again in nowhere, his head seemingly currently not in this world, line of sight turned again at his front, tilted down for some unknown yet familiar reason.
