After a good half an hour, a knock was heard in their classroom and the creaking sound of the opening door caught everyone's attention. Huening Kai and Beomgyu stared in dismay at the person who opened the door.
"Oh, Taehyun. Kai said you were sick, what are you doing here?" Their teacher asked.
"I'm fine now, Miss Han. If you don't mind Miss, may I attend the rest of the remaining time in our class?"
"Sure. You can ask your seatmates for the parts you missed out on."
Taehyun bowed in gratitude and entered the room to take a seat.
Huening Kai rubbed his temples while shaking his head, "I should have locked you in there. I just know you're gonna leave the clinic immediately."
"You know I can't skip any class, right?"
"You are excused for a reason Tae, and I can give you my notes to copy, you don't have to be here."
Taehyun did not respond, instead, he just took out his notebook and started writing the notes that's written on the board. Kai let out a sigh in defeat, he knew he can't convince Taehyun no matter what he says.
He and Beomgyu made eye contact as both of the boys were worried for the sick person in between them.
The school dismissal came in a flash and the rotary and choir practice will be held in a minute.
Taehyun rushed out of the room before Huening Kai could say anything about him attending those practice sessions.
Helpless, Kai turned to Beomgyu with pleading eyes after a sigh escaped from his lips.
"Yeah, I know, I got him." Beomgyu patted Kai's shoulder in reassurance.
"If you need to tie him on the bed, do it hyung please." The older released a giggle and responded with a smirk on his face, "oh you know I'm the best candidate to do that."
"Just don't be too rough on him, we don't need a fist fight here, ok?"
"Can't promise you that." Beomgyu followed as he picked up his bag and went out of their room, not forgetting to exchange goodbyes with Huening Kai.
He went to their practice room and saw Taehyun sitting in the corner. He abruptly grabbed the boy's arm and bag and dragged him in front of their instructor.
"Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?!" Taehyun hissed at him.
"Miss, please excuse Taehyun for today's practice. He is sick and useless because as you can see, his voice is also a bit hoarse."
Taehyun forcefully released himself from Beomgyu's grip and whispered under his breath, "Nosy bitch". Beomgyu could only roll his eyes in response.
Their instructor placed her palm on Taehyun's forehead and then the back of her hand on his neck after, just like what Beomgyu did to check Taehyun's temperature.
"God, you're burning! Did you go to the clinic already?" A worried tone plastered in her voice.
"He did but he sneaked out to attend our remaining class." Beomgyu answered on his behalf immediately before Taehyun could spout lies just to attend their practice.
"Gosh Taehyun! Go back to the clinic and rest! You're excused for today. If you keep pushing yourself, you might not be able to attend our dry-run on Friday." Taehyun frowned and looked down on his feet.
"Beomgyu, take him there and watch him over if the nurse has already gone home. I'll excuse you too for today if no one's there. Again, IF NO ONE IS THERE. Don't ditch him to go home early or else I'll hold you accountable."
