Okay back to the story

Catching up has always been Beomgyu's thing. He passes his projects on the exact date and time of the deadline and answers his assignment at the last minute.

He likes feeling his blood pumping in his veins as he rushes to finish one task after another. For him, it's like playing a chase game with the time where he runs with all his might to go after the clock arm before it strikes to 12.

Beomgyu also believes that he only functions when under pressure of having no other choice. It's a typical thing for him. Nothing new. Nothing surprising.

He's used to reading the borrowed notes from their class president before the exam starts, never to study ahead of time because what for? Luck will always be by his side to make him barely pass anyway.

But today, this is not it.

This is not the adrenaline he likes. Not the time pressure he was used to. And absolutely not the help he expected to get from his friends (or from a specific someone) when he mentioned a study session between them.

Finals for their 1st semester are about to come and time passed by like a snap. He barely remembered any of their past lessons since he was far too immersed in practicing for their litmus last month, then there goes his 10 days suspension with a 10 days worth of lessons to catch up.

And this isn't the catch up that he wanted.

Another groan was released, a not so soft thud was heard when his forehead met the hard wood of the table and they swear they'll get kicked out of the library because of Beomgyu.

"I don't think I can do this anymore."

They could only roll their eyes after hearing the boy groan for the nth time, responding to Beomgyu won't change anything. No words can stop the dramatic boy from whining.

Well you see, knowing Beomgyu, he wouldn't really care if he can't fill half of his exam papers with the correct answer. Heck, he will never flinch even if he can't fill his exam paper with any answer at all, however, the air shifts to a different direction like a whole 180 degree and he just made himself caught up on something he regrets agreeing on.

Taehyun really had to bait him with a bet.

The boys had been asking Taehyun if he can go out in his free time so they can finally hang out outside of the school vicinity. But knowing Taehyun's parents, "if it's nothing important, why would you go outside then?", yeah, he is not allowed to go.

It was a bit strange, everybody would see it as strange. A 15 years old boy is not allowed to go out and walk around their town or even at their subdivision and such. Believe it or not, Taehyun himself, also finds it strange at some point. It's not like he is the missing prince of South Korea, right? So why hide him from the world? Maybe because he is. Who knows.

Kidding aside, at the very least, Taehyun is thankful that he is at least allowed to go to Kai's house. For study purposes of course. Kai had Taehyun's parents' seal of approval when they (courtesy of Taehyun's mom) found out that Kai is a smart kid and a good companion for their son.

He rarely goes out and takes good care of his twin siblings when their parents are not around. A good influence over all. Well, it's Huening Kai, who doesn't like him anyway? Taehyun bets even the devil of all devils would like him.
