Chapter 13

Gray couldn't sleep that night because of what happen he wanted to know who this guy was and what did he do to erza to make her like this . He stood up after saying Almost confusing to erza last he didnt know if he could go back their but he was curious and like curious George he had to know . He knock at erza room . She opened the door yawning and rubbing her eyes . "Gray ? what are you doing here ? it's 1:00a.m it's still dark you house go to bed " erza said . "Erza I know you said you didn't want to talk about to right now but erza I really want to know who he is and what he did all this is making me Worried about you " grya said. Erza softly smile gray truly was a blessing "ill tell you in the morning okay just go to sleep " erza said . "Fine " gray said and went back to his room.

The morning came and gray woke up . His phone vibrated he looked at it it was a message from erza .

"Meet me at the cafe across the hotel"

He got dressed and combined his hair and then went out the door and into the elevator and then out the hotel . He then again forgot to hide his face . He quickly ran to the cafe so they wouldn't see him . He looked around and spotted erza . He sat down. "are you gonna tell me ?" gray said . "Not now we're in public " erza said . "Then when ?" gray said . "Why are you so urgent to know about me ?" erza said . Gray signed . They ate silently without looking or saying at each other . They walked thru the streets of New York gray trying to hide his face each time . Erza didn't notice because she was lost in thought . She didnt even wanna go out today but staying in the house would make her depressed but also being out here she might encounter jellal anywhere . Erza signed . Gray notices she was Sad. He grabbed her hand and lead her to a nearby little beach . They sat down looking at the water . "Maybe I shouldn't push you into telling me It's your choice but it's just I worry about you erza and I don't like to see you sad " gray said . "But why ? I'm not special I'm just like any other person " erza said . "Your special to me .." Gray said turning away erza blushed . Gray heart began to beat fast "maybe I should just tell her already how I feel and I should tell her who I really am " grays though "erza I - "ill tell you " erza said . Gray stopped at looked at her . "His name is Jellal Fernandez he's my ... Ex fiancée " erza said . Gray eyes widen . " He's the reason I didnt want to come to New York In the first place because .." Erza looked down . "You knew you would see him and you would remember all the pain" gray said. Erza nodded . "What happened between y'all ?" gray said . " It all happen 5 years ago"

Erza was getting ready for the wedding day . She was so happy she was gonna marry the man she loved, it always been her dream to fall in love and get married . "How do I look ?" erza said and turned the girls aww gasped . "You look pretty ' they said erza smiled
She turned to look at herself one last time . "Alright I'm ready to go " erza said . They all got in the Limo and drove off to the church. They arrived at the church and the girls helped her get out of the limo. Erza had a huge smile on her face while the boys have a sad smile . Erza wondered why she looked inside the church all the people and the priest was there except Jellal "what's going on where's jellal ?" erza said . "We don't know " Natsu said . Erza smile disappeared and turned into a worried expression . After a few more minutes of walking back and forth her wedding gown everywhere.
"Where is he ?" erza said walking back and forth . "Erza calm down you'll ruin your make up and dress " Lucy said chasing her . "I don't care anymore all I want to know where he is and if he's safe .." Erza said her dress dragging in the floor as she paced and that's when his best man came . "Simon thank goodness where's jellal ?" erza said Her smile returned and hope filled in her eyes .He looked down . "I'm sorry erza .. He's not coming " Simon said. Her smile turned into a frown "what do you mean he's not coming ?" erza said . "He couldn't do it and .. He left to New York " Simon said . "No it can't be we were suppose to get married .." Erza said . " he told me to leave this to you " Simon said and gave her a letter and their engagement ring . Erza looked at it and tears started to fall and that's when it started to rain . "I'm sorry erza .. He's gone " Simon said and without another word he left . Everyone stood near the church so they wouldn't get rain on but not erza she stayed exactly where she was in the rain getting soaked ."I HATE YOU JELALL !" erza said more tears falling. She threw the rings on the floor she threw the bouquet on the floor and her crown and veil . She started to run , her friends called out to her but she kept running with all the pain in her heart and anger in her soul.

"That's the day .. I being to shut out everyone from my heart and that's why I am like I am today all because of him" erza said " I took the job as being a famous model agency just to try to go to him and get my revenge and tell him everything I wanted to tell him but than I decide not to because I didn't want to see him anymore because if I did those feelings would return and all the pain I felt that day would also return.. so i stayed at a simple co worker to arrange commercial and photos and other stuff about wedding and love stuff I thought since I couldn't ever complete my dream about getting married or falling in love i'd work on something that has to do with that at least there I know what it is and watch other people get to experience love " erza said she hugged her knees and tears fell. Erza took out something and handed it to gray "whats this ?" gray said . "its the letter he gave me " erza said gray opened it and took out the letter and read it .

"I never understood what he meant but it doesnt matter all i know is he left and that was that maybe it was because he didnt love me .. No one will ever love me " erza said . Gray couldn't believe that had happen to her . "I think maybe I should tell her my feelings and who I really am " gray though. "erza I - " ever since what happen with jellal I swore I wouldn't fall in love with another high business person or famous man " erza said . Gray stopped he looked down . "I'm sorry I interrupted you what were you going to say ?" erza said while wiping away the tears . ".. Nothing " gray said . Gray and erza sat there looking down . "I have to go I'm sorry " erza said she stood up and ran away . Gray sat their in the sand . "I guess I can't tell her after all .. She'll never love me .. I guess ill have to keep my secret but for how long ? ..
