Erza was walking to the Mira cafe she was barley holding it together. She swear she was doing fine without him and that she might have gotten a little over him but seeing him again it hurt and all the feelings and memories rushed right back. She walked in all her friends in there. They turned to her "Erza!" They said all cheerful "how was your voyage?" levy said "did you bring any souvenirs" Lucy asked. "How it go with Jellal?" Natsu asked. Erza gave a soft smile trying to hide the tears in. They died down "Erza is something the matter?" Juvia said. "You okay Erza?" Mira said. "I-I-I saw him.." Was all that manage to escape from Erza her voice cracked. She was trying to hold herself together and not lose it in front of her friends. "I knew you would eventually run into him but I didn't think this soon.." Natsu said. "What do you mean?" Erza said. Everyone stayed quiet "he came by earlier .." Mira softly said. "and we all just talked he didn't ask about you or nothing just talked but he did seem .. Distracted" Laxus said. "Distracted?" Erza said. "like he was here but like his mind was somewhere else, it just wasn't the same Gray we all knew.." Lyon said. Erza looked down thinking about what happen earlier Gray seem to space off a lot and something in his eyes that Erza couldn't quiet get out of .. Pain she knew it was pain because she too was in the same place but something else was bothering Gray but she tried not to think about it so much. "What happen what y'all ran into each other?" Natsu said. Erza looked down she didn't want to worry her friend and everything was okay she was always bothering her friends with her problems maybe she should just leave it alone. "Um.. Nothing .." Erza said giving a little smile "the trip was um really long id like to go home and rest if that's okay with all of you guys" Erza said. "Alright Erza take care" everyone said. She walked to her apartment slowly. " why now?" She though to herself "why now? Suddenly he decides to come back when my life is at peace, when I'm trying to move on and suddenly he pops up right again and now .. All the feelings have came back .. Why? Why can't I just get over him?" Erza though she walked towards her door. She look over at the door that use to be his. Her heart began to ache she walked to it slowly touching it gracefully "Gray.." She said to herself. She let her head rest in the door "why? Why did you come back" Erza said. "You miss him don't you?" A voice said Erza turned it was the old lady. "Yes.." Erza said not even bothering to lie. "My Erza I'm sorry things had to be this way between y'all, but I'm sure one day you'll see him again" the old lady said. "That's the thing.. I already saw him.." Erza said. The old lady eyes seemed confused "what do you mean?" She asked. "He came back .. To magnolia and I saw him" Erza said Erza just couldn't hold it anymore the tears fell one by one "oh dear, come inside a nice cup of tea will help as you tell me it's not good to hold in all the pain" the old lady said leading her to her house. Erza walked in. She sat on her couch while the old lady went to make some tea. She came back and sat down her white cat hopped on her lap. "What wrong dear tell me what happened?" The old lady said. "I saw him again ... After a year he finally comes back " Erza said. She began to tell the old lady everything that had happened. "I just don't know anymore I .. I miss him so much" Erza said. "I know it hurts but you made the right decision starting as friends and maybe y'all can start something once again after he earned your trust" the old lady said. "I can't .." Erza said. "Why not? You love him he loves you why can't you ?" The old lady said. "Because, I'm engaged" Erza said. "Oh my" the old lady said "is it with that blue hair guy that's always with you?" The old lady said Erza nodded "why? Didn't you love gray? Why engaged fast?" The old lady said. "He asked me and I think maybe if I marry him I'll get over Gray faster and come to live Jellal" Erza said. "My child you simply can forget love, the love you feel will remain with you and using someone to forget someone isn't good at all a marriage is built with bond and love you'll be building a marriage full of lies" the old lady said. "I know but he has just done so much for me I just couldn't say no and know that Grays back it's going to be even harder for me" Erza said. "In the end the advice I give you won't matter it will be up to you but I do tell you something Listen to your heart when it's calling for you" the old lady said. "I think I'd had enough for a day I'll like to rest thank you for everything you have done for me" Erza said. "You're welcome dear" the old lady said "I never did catch your name" Erza said. "My name is Annie" Annie said. "Thank you Annie" Erza said and she closed the door behind her. "That girl has a stubborn heart just like I had" Annie said she picked up a photograph "oh John I remember how we were young and in love" she said as she held the photo close to her.
