ADELAIDE

"So, we just need to travel west tomorrow and if we continue about 340 miles, without a mishap, we can make it to the base in half a month." Aislinn explains to everyone.

I know for sure that all are faces already carry crestfallen expression, at the mere thought of going into the scorch again.

I don't know how much I can walk with my injured leg.

Yes, Newt had found out about it and yes, he almost but my head off for it. I had to literally plead to him not to tell anyone about Teresa. Especially not Thomas.

I am yet to tell the guys about Teresa and her second bitch face and the only reason why I'm withholding myself is because of Thomas.

Have you looked at the guy? He practically worshipped the girl.

And he had told me how he used to have telepathic relationship with him and how he remembered they both used to talk to each other when they were kept in isolation in the WICKED compounds, before the Maze.

I will surely tell him when we get out of this place.

We sit on some big boulders and fallen logs, all scattered around a bug campfire, where everyone is sitting and having canned dinner. We all sit in a group, talking about the next stages of the plan in guard whispers. The Group B kids, Jorge and Brenda sit with us too.

"Come on, guys, that place is chosen because it is next to an abandoned seaside. Post apocalypse, it had become a scrapyard for the marine things like ship and submarines and now no one uses it." Aislinn tires her best to convince the group.

"All that is fine, but the food? Water?" Jocelyn asks, her worried eyes scanning everyone.

"The Red Arm will give us. I've talked to Vince about it," Minho ensures, "Once we reach the base, we are safe from WICKED."

"We were not, until we find a way to get our trackers removed." Thomas gestures to the back of his neck.

"That's no problem." Aislinn waves her hand, "We have about four to five doctors there, who can easily get the tracker out."

"So, " Newt begins, looking at the group, "it's no pressure, yeah? You are free to refuse. Those who will go with us, give a nod."

I am the first to nod, followed by Thomas, Minho, Beatrix, Newt, Frypan, Jorge, Fiona, Harriet. Slowly, everyone nods.

"So, everyone gather as much food and water you can and meet at the entrance of the Right Arm Base in the dawn," Aislinn glares at everyone, "Be punctual."

We settle back and relax, taking amongst ourselves.

"I thought that The Right Arm is supposed to be an army." I wonder out loud, my gaze flickering to Aislinn for an answer.
