Steve's POV
It has been over one week since I last heard from Rylee. Shortly after I got asked to come to Wakanda, she called me to tell me that she had to go undercover for a short time and she couldn't call me until she was back. I was filled with worry because the last time she was undercover she was shot multiple times. I just knew that she was somewhere in Europe but I didn't even know where exactly.
'Captain Rogers?' I was deep in my thoughts when Okoye came to me. I enjoyed the view because Wakanda was still one of the most beautiful places ever and I could get lost in the view. Nat joined me this time and we would leave back to the states in a few minutes. I turned around to the general of Dora Milaje.
'Thanks for your help. We would rather do it on our own but at this moment we cannot leave Wakanda.' There were more rebellious attacks than last time and more Vibranium was stolen. I knew how much they hated to ask someone for help who wasn't from Wakanda which I could totally understand. We already informed Rhodey so he could help us. He would maybe get more information from the government and military. He already had something after a few days so our next stop would be in the Republic of South Africa.
'We'll do our best and inform you when we find more information in Johannesburg.' Okoye nodded and left to say her goodbye to Nat. The two formed a bond when they fought together against one of the outriders here in Wakanda. As Avengers we didn't form real connections outside of the group because we all had problems with trusting people so we stayed among us. I was glad that I found Rylee and that she was a part of my life as well.
Nat and I took our seats in the quinjet and we flew off to Johannesburg to follow the lead Rhodey told us about. One of the Wakandan tribes had connections to some weapon dealers in South Africa. My thoughts went directly back to Rylee who would have had problems with different weapon dealers in Europe.
Rylee's POV
We left Berlin last night to fly to Johannesburg because that was where we assumed Walker would be next. We chased him through half of Europe and seized two more factories and confiscated hundreds of weapons. We also found the corpse of the missing agent in one of the factories. It was the worst view I have ever seen because Walker went from just killing to torture. He also left a message for me again but this time it was written with blood on the wall. I see you сука. There was just me left from the Russian mission and I didn't tell Steve or Nat anything about the death threats. I told myself I would do it when I would see them face to face.
When I came back home from my mission with Chad in Minsk I had a letter in my postbox where somebody just counted down and called me сука again. It was obvious that it was Walker and I already knew that he wanted me dead. But now he knew where I lived and that was a big problem. I packed a few important things before I got a hotel room under the name of one of the new IDs. I wanted to tell Steve about it but then he went to Wakanda and we flew to Europe.
Now I was sitting in the next plane to Africa as Hannah Schulz and I tried to talk English with a German accent which wasn't easy for me. Two rows behind me was Chad, also with another name. Adam took the flight two hours before us and he flew over London with an English passport and Derek would join us tomorrow with a flight from New York.
I wasn't able to call anybody and also missed Pepper's birthday a few days ago because Jim assumed that Walker or somebody else could also have hacked into my mobile phone. Two agents went through my apartment and they found a few bugs and even some cameras. They couldn't tell since when all of it was hidden in my apartment but it was definitely more than a month. I assumed it could have been placed there when I was at Steve's place for my days off last month because after I came home something felt off. Now I was pretty sure what that was and it made me want to throw up. Having somebody watch me with everything I did was a thing I never expected. They even found cameras in the bathroom and everybody in my team was furious including Chad which surprised me a little. He even tried to lighten up the mood.
