Rylee's POV - October 2020
'Do I get a goodbye kiss, Sugar?' Chad was very close to my face before I pushed him away with a laugh. It was my last day at the FBI headquarters in Washington and we closed our last open case. After three months we still didn't know who shot Walker because whoever it was disappeared and we didn't find any evidence. We assumed it would end up as a cold case but to be honest I was relieved that Walker couldn't do anything anymore.
The videos of me and the one where Steve and I were together. It was still hard to think about it but Walker had them all on his computer. He didn't put them on the dark web but he saved them for I don't know what. A few FBI agents looked through all of the videos because everything was an evidence and that was one of the things that made me want to leave the headquarter. Some of the agents looked at me with pity because I was filmed, others with disgust even though we did nothing wrong but they acted like it was my fault and one had the audacity to ask me if I was single. Chad stood next to me and before I could react he already punched the agent.
'Like I said. I'm the only one who can make you uncomfortable.' He winked at me and in that moment he grew a little on me. A tiny, very tiny part would miss Chad. I wouldn't have a partner in New York and the task force was dissolved after we found Walker in Russia, closed the facilities and brought back the Vibranium to Wakanda. I was happy to finally be transferred to the quarter in New York.
I found a little apartment in Lower Manhattan because I didn't want to search that long and Manhattan was very expensive. I also thought about moving in with Steve but he never said anything in that direction so maybe it was too early. We should start a real relationship and not long distance and see how this would work out before moving in together.

Steve's POV – June 2021
'I didn't think you had this many things. How did you hide them in that tiny apartment?' I was carrying the hundredth moving box into the apartment. I heard Rylee's laugh and it made me smile. I asked her finally if she wanted to move in with me and for the last months we were searching for a bigger place. I wanted to stay in Brooklyn but I would move wherever she wanted to go, but Brooklyn was also where Rylee wanted to move.
I put the box into the kitchen and looked around. It was bigger than my last apartment. We had a big living kitchen area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We would turn one of the bedrooms into an office for Rylee but it could also be a guest room. I wanted to get downstairs again to pick up the rest of our stuff when Rylee grabbed my arm and started to kiss me. I knew it was meant as a sweet kiss but I couldn't hold back and it became more passionate.
'Really guys? We're working and you're having fun?' Our kiss was interrupted by Nat who had another box of kitchen supplies in her arms. I took it out of her arms because I knew how heavy some of the stuff was. She put her arm around Rylee's shoulders.
'Or was that a motivating kiss? Then I want one too.' Even though I wasn't jealous anymore, Nat was still trying to get a reaction out of me. Rylee giggled and I just rolled my eyes at Nat's comment but I couldn't hide the smile. Two could play the game. I gave Nat a kiss on the cheek.
'Motivation enough, Romanoff?' She looked at me with big eyes and I turned around to walk down the stairs. I heard Rylee's laugh through the stairway. I surprised Nat which was a first and I was glad that Rylee wasn't jealous either.

Rylee's POV – November 2021
'I can't believe she is already two.' I looked at Morgan who was running through the living room. She was still one of the cutest kids I have ever seen. If I knew that my kid would be like her I would ask Steve to make me one right now. We both weren't ready for kids yet... To be honest I didn't know if he was ready. I wasn't ready right now and I didn't ask him.
