In the Technicolor Lights

You have never looked more beautiful than in this light

Under the multicolored lights, straining my eyes I realize that this is the first time I have ever actually seen you.

I didn't see you under direct sunlight, where your cheeks glow like the sun came up just to bless your skin.

I didn't see you under the fluorescent lights, where you held my hand like I was going to float away if you let go.

But I see you now.

Dancing under the night sky, two people of thousands, pressed up against one another, covered in sweat, with no worries. Just us.

I can barely see your face but I feel like this is the first time I have laid eyes on you.

And it is just as enthralling as it was years ago.
