Hey, I'm sorry I know we said
we would stay friends but I can't
be friends with you.
When you knocked on the door
today you took all oh the breath
out of my lunges suffocating me
until I was black and blue .
You said my name like no time had passed
And I wondered if it stung
coming out of your mouth
like your name does mine.
I can't even say the whole thing
without my heart cringing
inside itself, only getting to the first
two syllables
Solo-
Man. There it goes again.
I tried to play it cool,
to act as if my world was not trembling,
a heat flash making me feel
as if the world I was currently
in was collapsing on me, suffocating me-
Oh there's that word again.
Suffocating
You're suffocating me.
How can you do that when
I haven't even seen you before today?
How do i let you have that much power over me?
I'm sorry, I can't be your friend. I know
I promised you but sometimes we break promises don't we?
