Since you have left me the world has been brighter
the sky bluer, the color of the flowers deeper.
A part of me despises the adults that told me that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
I was scared that if I left you, my struggling field would turn into a desert and I would lose the last bit of life.
But leaving you felt like opening the fence gate and walking out from a struggling backyard straight into a lush forest.
Turns out they were all wrong.
The grass most definitely is greener without you in my life.
