I continued to hold his hands as his stretcher is being pushed to the ER.

My hands are full of blood and my shirt has also stains of blood.

He's whimpering in pain but I still didn't let go of his hand until I had to because I'm not allowed inside the ER.

I already gave his ID to the police so maybe they already contacted his family.

My hands is trembling and I can't stop my legs from shaking. I feel bad. I really feel bad.

All I could do was to hold his hand wishing that he wouldn't suffer anymore.

A few minutes passed and a police approached me.

"Ma'am, we already caught the suspect and here's your phone." I nodded at the policeman before taking my phone.

I noticed that the blood has already dried from my hands. How will I explain this to my siblings? For sure, they'll freak out.

"What's your relationship to the victim, ma'am?"

I bit my lips at his question. I just met him and this kind of situation welcomed him in my life.

"A friend."

Tumango ang pulis sa sinagot ko.
Dumating din ang ilang kasamahan niya at tinanong ako tungkol sa nangyari kanina. I answered all their questions regarding the incident. How and where it started.

I also texted ate that something happened and I didn't tell her that I'm in the hospital. Baka sumugod pa silang dalawa dito. I'll explain all of it to them later.

Halos isang oras na akong nakaupo at nag-hihintay nang may marinig akong mabibilis na yapak na humahangos papunta sa direksyon ko.

"Si Clyde?" It was a woman in her mid-twenties with a man beside her na parang kasing age ko lang din. anxiousness is evident in their faces.

"Nasa emergency room pa po." I stood up and answered them.

"Diyos ko, Clyde..." Napaupo ang babae hawak-hawak ang dibdib niya. Inalalayan naman siya ng lalaking nasa tabi niya.

"Ikaw ba ang kasama niya bago nangyari ang insidente,miss?" Tanong ng lalaki.

I nodded at his question.

"So, kasalanan mo pala ang nangyari sa pinsan ko!" Tumayo ang babae at agad akong sinugod pero mabilis ang kamay ng lalaking kasama niya.

Handa naman akong sabunutan niya tutal kasalanan ko naman talaga...

"She's nothing to be blamed of, Lonnie. Hindi niya rin ginusto ang nangyari. As the police said, she's also a victim, too." Sabi ng lalaki dun sa babaeng si Lonnie pala ang pangalan.

"Kapag may nangyaring masama sa pinsan ko, hinding-hindi kita mapapatawad!" Sigaw ng babae at padabog na umupo.

I understand her wrath.

Dapat hindi na ako nandamay pa ng iba. An innocent person is battling for his life because of me.

"Pasensya na, miss." I nodded at the man before standing up.

"Sorry po. Don't worry, I will pay for all the bills." I said before leaving.

"Aba, dapat lang!" Rinig ko pang sigaw ng pinsan ni Clyde.

I can't continue to face them knowing that I may burst my tears anytime.

I'm sorry, Clyde. I hope for your surgery to be successful. I will visit you soon.
