Good bye

I rolled my eyes at ate's message when she messaged me on messenger that she's sick and she's gonna go home now without us.

Kung hindi ko lang nakitang sumama siya sa kuya ni zone ay naniwala na ako pero this time..she lied.

I don't know what's going on with them but I'd rather not ask. She will tell me if she wants to. She will tell me if she's ready just like me.

I guess all of us have secrets we aren't ready to spill or we never really intend to spill... that's why it's called a secret.

"What? No!"

"Watch your tone, young lady!" Napatingin ako kay dad. "Even though she's not your real mother, just respect the mother of your siblings!"

Napa-pikit ako at bumuntong-hininga.

"I'm sorry, mom...I'm sorry, dad," I apologized kahit na ayaw ko.

I fisted my hand to stop myself from speaking something bad.

"Your daughter is fisting her hands,"  rinig kong sambit ni mommy estrella. Sa lahat pa ng pagkakataong pansinin ako ay doon pa talaga sa araw kung saan supposedly ay masaya ako. "Do you really wanna fight me, Sierra Lianne?"

I breathe deeply and un-fisted my hands.

"Go to your room, era. You're grounded for a week,"

Lumaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ni dad.

"Dad!" I said and looked at mommy estrella, angrily. "I haven't done anything wrong! I am just surprised na mag-tatrabaho ako sa kumpanya niya kahit bukas na ang flight namin papuntang Siargao!"

"She's glaring her eyes at me, Samson. Teach your daughter some manners," I gritted my teeth as mommy estrella walked away and went inside the elevator.

"Dad–" my soul almost went out after dad slapped me.

"The next time I see you glaring or talking back at your mom, you'll see your clothes outside in a box."

Dad walked past me as I stood still and gently touched my right cheek.

People really change.

That's the first time dad has ever slapped me. 

I wanna go home because this isn't home to me.

"Thank you, sir and have a nice day," I rolled my eyes after I finished my shift for today.

It's been a month since my parents decided to force me work as a call center agent and not as an assistant to my sister.

I was supposed to be an assistant to my sister but then I fought with my parents so this is my punishment.

Tinago ko muna ang cellphone ko and didn't use any social medias for about a month now.

I can't believe they are making me work just like their employees!

Sana pala hindi na ako sumali sa pageant na iyon at baka nasa Yacht na ako ngayon with Byron and Corynn. The bitches are enjoying their lives while I am living in torture everyday.

Wala ding magagawa sila ate at kuya dahil parehas din silang nag-tatrabaho na sa kumpanya ni mom.

I can't deny that their jobs are much better than mine though.

This is the first time that I wish summer was short and I hope I'm in school already.

"Era? Era!" Nakasalubong ko si Clyde nang pababa na ako ng hagdan papunta sa office ni ate.
