Warmth

I feel guilty after he left. He was the one who took revenge for me. I should be mad because he intervened on my life but I guess I am thankful for his existence. All my life, I never thought there's a person who'll go into deep oceans for me.

I thought he already forgot about me but throughout the years, he...he fought my battles while he was also aiming for his goals.

"Lianne, don't tell me you're still in love with that man?" I looked at Otto and he chuckled, "ofcourse, you aren't anymore,"

I explained to him earlier that the man that he saw at the theater room is the father of my kids.

"Herr, I don't think you should pry on my personal life," I said and got my bag as I know It's the end of my job for this day.

"Uhm..l-lianne," I stopped and glanced at him. He fixed his necktie and stared at my face, "D-Do you have time this weekend? We'll go to the amusement park with the kids,"

I shook my head and walked towards the door but he stopped in front of me.

"Herr otto, bitté not here..." I sighed, "We already went to the amusement park last week and we'll go somewhere else this weekend,"

"You went with that man, ja?"

I sighed again. He's testing the tiny spring of my patience.

"He's the father of my children, herr otto. Please respect that,"

I was ready to walk away when he still insisted on saying something.

"I was the man who was there for you throughout the years and you still can't see that? And then now, that he came you'll just...ignore me?"

I looked around and saw many people staring at us. I walked closer to him so that some of the employees here can't pry on what I was about to reply.

"Even without him, I was clear that I have no intentions of dating you, herr otto," I can't believe his eyes was starting to water as he looked at me, "I appreciate your kindness to me and to my children but I am afraid to say that all I have to offer is nothing but friendship,"

"That is the worst offer I've ever heard in my life," he wiped the single tear that fell from his eyes and turned his back against mine.

He's a good man. I am sure he'll find an amazing woman he deserves.

I walked out of the door and to my surprise, he's leaning against his gray audi. He raised both of his eyebrows when he saw me and opened the car door for me.

I suddenly smelled his manly perfume when I sat in the front seat. I stared at him when he walked around to his seat. He paired his white shirt with a black trousers. He looks buff now and his muscles became leaner and bigger as I noticed how his shirt is so tight around it.

"Is it hot?" I cleared my throat when he asked that, "You look so red,"

"Galing kasi ako sa labas and you know, it's hot..." I gulped and tapped my cheeks.

"Holiday season is coming. It's cold, sierra," he said and smirked.

It's a 30-minute drive from my workplace to the house of my aunt. So the first 10 minutes of us inside his car was awkward...

"Can I...play a music?" He nodded so I opened his radio and the rhythm calmed me...

I cleared my throat and saw that he glanced at me.

"About yesterday...I tried to talk to Rex about it earlier and I think...you should come and talk to him,"

He sighed.
