Chapter 19

"He-"

"Code Blue, I repeat code blue, Alex is getting mad," The call ended before I could reply and I looked at the phone dumbfounded.

What the heck was a code blue?

Picking up his phone I attempted to open it only to be presented with a password.

Ugh!

I dropped the phone as I noticed Lee making his way back.

"Your phone has been buzzing nonstop," I told him once he got close enough and his eyes widened before he rushed over to it.

He opened his phone and I managed to get a peek at his password before he stood up.

"I need to go," He told me picking up his stuff leaving in a hurry before I could reply.

What the heck was he doing?

I still hadn't questioned him about the necklace, I was darn pretty sure the necklace was custom made which means he took it from me, but when and how?

I got a text from Justin the moment I walked into the house. Frowning I opened the message.

Champ: Waited for you for about an hour, you didn't show up, Are you okay?

Shit!

We were supposed to go on our ice cream date today after school.

Me: I'm sorry! I was so engrossed in my assignment I didn't realize! This weekend instead?

Champ: Nerd, ;) This weekend, just wanted to make sure you were okay before deciding to pull up at your house.

Me: Of course I'm okay :) Love you, talk tomorrow.

Dropping my things on the bed I headed for the bathroom to take a shower.

Making my way downstairs my dad was seated with Roxy while they talked about something I couldn't make out.

"We're eating out, today!" Roxy told me as I took a seat next to dad

"are we?" I asked and dad nodded

"I'll go get ready," Roxy smiled dashing for the stairs

"On a school night?" I questioned and my dad shrugged

"After what happened with your mom and Roxy, I decided we should all go out today to make her forget about what happened, lighten her mood a bit,"

"Very spontaneous of you," I smiled "I'll go get changed then,"

Dinner was nothing out of the ordinary, Roxy did the talking most of the time while I was lost in my own thought.

"Are you okay?" My dad questioned on the drive back home

"Yes, why?"

"Because you were quiet during dinner,"

"Yeah, I was thinking about when I would get my own car," I smiled at him

"Soon, I promise,"

"You've been saying that since last year," I snapped and he looked taken aback "Dad, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to,"

"It's fine, school's stressful?"

"Yeah," I replied knowing that answer was the best reason I could give for my snarky comment

"You'll get it soon," Roxy assured from the back seat tapping away on her phone

As soon as we got home I dashed to my bedroom, changing out of my clothes I laid on the bed tsaring at the ceiling before letting out an aggravated sigh.

I woke up to the obnoxious sound of my buzzing phone. Rubbing my eyes awake I stared at the screen before checking the time.

It was eleven, almost midnight and Leon was calling me?

I opened his messages and stared at them confused.

Lee: I'm the door

Lee: atd... outside

Was he drunk?

I tip toed downstairs making sure my dad was not in the study before making my way to the front door. I opened the door and my heart nearly jumped out of my chest
