Riona's POV

Mel and the boys were back at our lunch table and the table was abuzz with conversations.

"Ri," Vivi whispered bumping my shoulder smiling widely

"What's up?"

"I and Will did it! Oh my God it was amazing and worth the wait," She whispered and threw her head back smiling

"Eww, I don't need details," I laughed flicking my hair over my shoulder

"Trust me, you do," she winked and turned to her food engaging the rest of the girls in a conversation

"Guys, should we have a movie night at my house this weekend?" Vivi asked

"Are we invited," Nico asked referring to the boys

"That means you're going to be watching a movie with us, not playing games," She rolled her eyes

"Never mind then," Nico waved it off focusing on his food

"We have a game on Friday," Justin spoke up "are you guys coming?"

"Yeah," I replied "Right?" I asked the girls

"Yeah," all of them replied in unison

"Well, technically Vivi, Ri and Coco have to be there, they are cheerleaders," Nico added

"Hey Ri you have to come for practice today," Coco reminded me

"I'll be there,"

...

The last bell rang and everyone rushed out of the class, I guess nobody enjoyed calculus.

I dropped my books off at my locker before heading to the gym changing room to change into my cheer uniform

Everyone was already warming up when I got to the gym and since the gym had a huge glass where we could see the field from, we often saw the boys training for their games.

Sometimes we'd use the field or gym depending on the weather or just general voting.

"Nice of you to join us today, Price," coach gave me a stern look before blowing her whistle

"Five laps, Price and I don't want to see you stopping," She blew her whistle again and I sighed before I started jogging around the gym.

After a nonstop five laps and some training, I went over to grab my bottle while simultaneously checking my phone

It was four already and my shift started at four-thirty.

"Oh my God," I muttered under my breath "Coach, can I go to the nurse I have a migraine,"

"Price-"

"Coach please," I begged

"You can go," she replied and I grabbed my things leaving the gym. I changed out of my clothes before making my way to the parking lot.

I watched as Justin walked towards his car with Mel next to him smiling. As he got closer to his car Mel made her way to the passenger side and I frowned shrugging before getting into my car.

Connor probably left her, I thought before turning on the ignition and driving out of the parking lot.

The Starbucks I worked at was about an hour thirty minutes away from school and any of my friend's houses, I wouldn't want to be caught working leading to suspicions and all sorts of questions.

After my shift I was exhausted, I got into my car and noticed I had a couple of missed calls from Vivi, Coco and Dad. Ignoring all of them I made my way home, thankfully the traffic was light.

I walked into the house and headed for the kitchen.

"Where were you?" my dad asked cutting up some spinach

"I was at practice," I sighed "Coach was trying to get us ready for the game this weekend, then I and the girls decided to unwind and have dinner somewhere,"

"Okay, do you still want to eat?"

"Yes please, I'm famished," I sighed leaning on the island and watching him cut up the spinach

"I thought you said you went out to eat with the girls?" He asked leaning on the island with interest

My heart thumped against my ribcage and my palms became sweaty as I tried to think of an excuse.

"Yes we did, but I had a slice of pie because I was in a hurry to come home,"

"Okay then," he replied as he continued cutting up the spinach

"I'll go take a shower, where's Roxy?" I asked heading upstairs

"She's in her room doing homework,"

"Okay," I replied and made my way toher room, I peeped through the door that was left slightly open, she was texting away on her phone, definitely not homework.

"That's definitely not homework you're doing," I walked into her room and sat on her bed

"What?" she rolled her eyes  "I'm doing research," she tapped away on her phone

"I'm gonna go tell dad," I sing sang getting up from her bed

"You're the worst," She grumbled dropping her phone and making her way to the study table

I smiled to myself before leaving her room and shutting the door.
