"Roxy's still on it?" Vivi questioned

"Yeah," I sighed leaning on the hood of her convertible and she squeezed my hand

"It's gonna be okay, at least you have a dad who cares," she got in her car smiling at me sadly

"They'll come around," I assured her and she rolled her eyes

"We both know they're too busy to give two fucks about their daughter,"

I laughed out loud as she drove away in her black convertible. Her hair flying wildly behind her.

Vivi's parents were a definition of workaholics, her parents run multiple businesses around the world. They were home regularly working from their laptops constantly but a family dinner was something irregular that never happened.

Back in middle school for our party, her parents didn't show up instead they sent her a tub of ice cream, a cake, and four tickets to see her favourite movie. She threw a huge tantrum and destroyed the cake also tearing the tickets.

Heading back inside I make a beeline for my room locking the door after me.

My phone dings and I see a message from Coco on our group chat

Coco: Cheerleading practice tomorrow guys don't forget!

Me: Yeah, yeah

I, Coco, and Vivi were all on the cheerleading team with me being the head cheerleader.

My phone rings and I pick up the call and Justin's breezy voice greets me

"I'm outside," He tells me

"Really, It's late you know that,"

"I'm sure your dad won't mind, besides I'm not taking you anywhere,"

Sighing I ended the call heading downstairs to get the door.

"Where are you going?" my dad asked

"Justin is outside," I replied casually

"Are you guys going out on a school night?"

"No, he just came to see me," I told him and he nodded in understanding

"Well, tell him I said hi,"

"Sure," I said opening the door and walking out

"Where is he?" I frowned walking down the steps and checked around his car

"Boo!" He shouted and I yelp in surprise

"Oh my God!" I shrieked holding a hand to my heart and I slapped his chest

"You almost gave me a heart attack!" I yelled and he smiled leaning on his blue Mustang caging me with his arms

His hand reached for my chin and he pulled me in for a short and sweet kiss before hugging me

"I missed you," he murmured

"Me too," I smiled my hands around his neck

"Date this weekend?"

"Definitely," I smiled combing my hand through his thick blond hair

"I bought you something,"

"Really?" my eyes widened

He retrieved the gift from inside the car opening the box for me to see it.

"Oh my God! This is pretty," I touched the silver earrings with butterflies on them and a matching silver bracelet with butterflies.

"You like them?" he smiled at me his green eyes warm and I give him a quick kiss on the lips

"I love them," I smiled and he hugged me carrying me in the air and I let out a surprised shriek before laughing

He planted me back on the floor getting in his car

"I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yep," I smiled and he winked before driving off

I walk back into the house holding his gift box

"Those better not be condoms," my dad mutters and my jaw drops to the floor

"Dad!" I shriek laughing before heading to my room

...

Classes today were horrible and seriously boring. All I wanted to do right now was just take a nice shower and have a nap.

Packing up my bags my turned around to see I wasn't the only one in the class.

"You, you're still here?"

"Yeah," He smiles raising his head up from his book "I'm actually finding it hard to answer this question, can you help me?"

"Sure," I smiled dropping my bag and we both worked the question together,

"Calculus really is something else," I chuckled and he smiled

"Yeah,"

"Why don't we walk home together," I offered

"Sure, but I think my house is farther than yours so, I'll walk you home," He smiles

"But you don't know where my house is,"

"I don't but I just know there would be a considerable distance between our homes,"

"Are you trying to say you are rich?" I smiled amused

"No! Not me you," he laughed and I rolled my eyes

"Well, I stay in Tribeca,"

"Woah, that's some rich place," He replied wide eyed and I bump him with my shoulder

"I stay in East Harlem," He told me and I did a quick calculation of everything I've read up on the dangerous sides of Manhattan, a chill runs down my spine.

"Oh yeah," was all I could get out not wanting to offend him that where he lives is full of criminals

After we get close enough to my street I waved him off telling him to head home before it gets late.

"Riona?" Leon calls out

"Yeah?"

"Can I get your number?"
