Chapter 25

People cheered and yelled as people rushed to go get whiskey except for the lacrosse team players, they knew of the effects of alcohol on their reputation so I guess they decided to stay put.

"Is Will really going to drink?" I asked Justin

"Maybe just a cup, he wouldn't do more than that or he's done with lacrosse,"

"Hmm,"

"I'm going over to play tennis, you coming?"

"I'm good," I waved him off and he left me to myself

I noticed Will with a cup in his hand and he was with Vivi on the dance floor. They were dancing together and I smiled shaking my head.

Ana appeared next to me a few minutes later and we hit the dance floor together dancing.

"Did Mel come?" I asked Ana

"Not sure," She shrugged throwing her hands in the air dancing wildly

"Did you drink?" I asked her

"One cup," She winked throwing her hair around and dancing "Y'know that new guy?"

"Which guy?"

"The one you're friends with, he's here," She smiled still dancing

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!" She laughed and I left to go and look for him

I went into the kitchen before noticing him stocking the fridge

"What are you doing here?" I asked and he jumped startled turning around to look at me

"Wha..." He stared at my dress all the way to my legs and I snapped my fingers at him

"Somebody looks good today," He smiled

"What are you doing here?"

"Working,"

"What work?"

"I helped him get the drinks,"

"You mean the whiskey,"

"You mean the weed," He replied and my eyes widened

"Shh,"

"Wanna see the spray paintings they did on the neighbor's house?"

"No," I replied folding my arms "Why didn't you come to school, your grades are slipping,"

"I'll come next week, the whole week,"

"How much is Will even paying you to do this,"

"A lot of money," He assured

"Like?"

"One thousand bucks," He replied smiling

"Jeez,"

"Guys!!! I heard a police siren get rid of all the alcohol!" Someone yelled from the living room

The music went off a few moments later and Will himself spoke up.

"Guys get rid of all the alcohol the police is here!!" The whole place turned to chaos with people shouting everywhere

"Shit!" Lee cursed running a hand through his hair "Let's go," h held my hand

"Where?"

The whole living room was chaos people running everywhere trying to dispose of all the alcohol, my friends were nowhere to be found and Lee kept dragging me around.

"We have to hide," he replied hurriedly and we walked into what I assumed was his parents' room.

"Why are we hiding, I didn't take anything," I told him and he checked around the room until he found a closet.

"Please just get in I don't want anything to do with the police,"

"Why?" I questioned, "What is going on why are you hiding?"

"Are you getting in or are you leaving?"

I got into the closet with Lee and we stayed silent as we heard the chaos outside. About ten minutes later everything was quiet again before the music started up again and Lee went outside to check if the police really came.

Turns out they weren't coming here.

"Lee, what is going on I'm getting frustrated,"

"I can't tell you anything!" he yelled pacing around the room

"Lee! You can't tell me why someone was asking you if you had a gun? Or what code blue is? Or why you just disappear from school, Or what you were doing in Tribeca, and in the middle of the night?"

"No, I can't!"

"Lee you're a goddamned teenager! What are you doing! If you can't tell me what you're doing then I can't be friends with you!"

I moved closer to him staring at his eyes "Tell me, Lee! Let me help you,"

"You can't!" He replied before walking out of the room and I exited the room looking for him and again, he disappeared.

I'm reunited with my friends a few minutes later and they decide it's time for us to leave after we bid the guys goodbye.

"I'll drive," I offered í didn't take anything,"

"Okay," Vivi handed me the keys stifling a yawn

"Did you find the guy?" Ana asked me

"Yeah, and his name is Leon,"

"He came?" Vivi frowned

"Yeah," I sighed "So where were you guys when Will said the police were coming,"

"We were looking for one another, where did you go?"

"I was with Lee," I replied with a pang of guilt "I'm sorry I should have looked for you guys,"

"It's fine," Coco assured me

The drive home was calm and I drove Vivi home before calling a taxi and heading home.

My phone buzzed in my hand as I paid for the taxi.

Champ: Did you get home safe?

Me: Yeah ;)

I rang the doorbell before checking the time, it was a little past eleven so I was home before curfew.

"You're back in time," My dad said as he opened the door

"Yes," I sighed "Goodnight," I told him before making my way to my room
