After getting Ellie to sleep and checking up on Carlos to see if he was still sleeping I went to go put maddy to bed
I opened the door seeing her crying On her bed cuddling her stuff animal
"Hey ... what's wrong ?" I said sitting on her bed
"I don't like sleeping alone it's scary ." She said latching onto my arm
"I used to be scare to you know ?" I said looking down at her as she hugged my arm endlessly
"You were ?"
"Yeah I didn't want people grabbing me in the middle of the night ." I said
"How did you get over it ?" Maddy said looking up at me
"Well my dad used to stay with me all night and after time I got over it ." I said
"Could .. you sleep with me tonight ?" She whispered
"Sure bub .. anything you want ." I said rubbing her back
"You know me and Carlos are always here you wanna talk about anything .." I said
"In my last foster homes .. they didn't really pay that much attention to me why would you guys .." she said looking at me
"Because we're not your foster home we're your permanent home ." I said kissing her head
"Are you gonna leave after I fall asleep ?" She asked
"I'm gonna be here when you fall asleep and right here when you wake up okay ?" I said
"I love you daddy." She said laying her head on my chest
"I love you to bub." I said stroking her head
