I headed over my dads house per his request he said he needed help with something that was important
"Dad?" I called as I entered the door since it was left unlocked
"I'm up here !" He called
I walked upstairs to the hallway seeing his bedroom door open
"What's up ?" I said walking in seeing paint cans and rollers
"When I got sick it was tough on everyone but especially you and me .Remember this spot ?" My dad said pointing to a spot on the wall
"The spot you always used to stare at when you thought you were gonna be sick .." I said looking at the spot on the wall
"Right ..I'm done with cancer and I don't need to be reminded that I had it this is to remind me that I survived it .." my dad said
"It's time we let go of cancer ." He added
"You in ?" My dad asked holding a paintbrush out
"I'm in ." I said grabbing a paintbrush
"You know Michelle's gonna kill you because you didn't tell her ." I said stroking the nice green color on the wall
"She picked out the color ." My dad said smirking at me
"One spot left ." I said looking at the circle which he used to stare at
" it's time to let go ." He said covering the spot
"I love you kid ." My dad said putting his arm around my shoulder
"I love you to ." I said resting my head on his shoulder
I went home later that night the girls were asleep I saw Carlos in the kitchen I placed my keys down quietly walking over to him wrapping my arms around him pulling him into a hug
"What's this for ?" Carlos said kissing my head
" I just love you ." I said
