I turned off Carlos's alarm in the morning so he could sleep in since it's his day off
The girls were eating some eggs that I managed not to burn for them with some toast while I wiped down the counters
"Daddy can you do French braids in our hair today please ?" Maddy and Ellie said as they finished breakfast
"Sure here give me your guys dishes ." I said as Carlos came downstairs
"Hey girls ." Carlos said kissing the girls heads
"Girls why don't you guys go get ready I'll be up in a little ." I said as they ran up stairs
"T you don't have to do this I don't want your over exerting yourself .." Carlos said placing a kiss on my forehead
"Babe I'm fine I didn't break any bones I can still do stuff .."
"You bruised you ribs and your lung you have to heal for like another week before you can go back to work ." Carlos said
"They don't really bother me I was in a little pain the first few days but it only hurts now and then ." I said
"T you could barely get up the steps .." Carlos said
"I know but I'm gonna be okay I can't go to work I just wanna do something to help out and if I hurt myself you can give me a whole I told you so speech but I'm careful I'm okay ."
"Okay just please be careful .." Carlos said
"I will be ." I said standing on my tippy toes to give him a kiss on the cheek
"Oh Michelle told me to tell you since you weren't answering her text at 4 am to meet her for coffee at 12 because she needs to gossip and then you guys are going out to have some fun per my request." I said walking backwards so I could see his face
"You love to get rid of me ." Carlos said
"When your being a smother yes when your being cute no ." I said with a smile
"Now if you excuse me I have to go French braid ." I said
"Your about to walk into a -" Carlos said before I walked into a wall
"I'm okay ." I said getting up holding my breath because I hit my toe hard
"Should I be worried about you ?" Carlos said as I walked up the stairs backwards
"No I'm care-" I said before tripping again
" I'm just gonna go before you question my statement ." I said running up the steps
