- a week ago -
I was laying down after my shift in me and TK's room while he was playing with the girls downstairs my phone rang once I ignored it

Then it rang again i have this thing that bothers me when people blow up your phone I just figured it was the group chat that me and a few other people from work were in including v

But I guess I was wrong when I saw Owens name on my screen it covered my partial lock screen of Tk and the girls

I was thinking it was just a prank until I saw a photo the contact sent it was Owen but it couldn't be he was dead wasn't he ?

"Carlos I know this is weird but meet me on dawn street ." The text read

I wasn't sure if it was a prank if it was it was a sick one but I was eager to find out so I got dressed and ran downstairs

"I thought you were heading to sleep ?" Tk said looking at me as the girls put buttercups fur in scrunchies

"Uh I was they um need me at work something ." I said trying to come up with an excuse

"Why do you look like you saw a ghost ." Tk laughed

"Do I ? Sorry just feel bad for buttercup." I laughed nervously looking at buttercup with 20 scrunchies in his hair p

"Oh okay we'll text me if you need anything ." Tk said

I arrived at dawn street at the park to see what amazed me

Owen

"What the actual hell ." I mumbled under my breath walking towards him

"Hey Carlos ." He said

"Wha- I thought you were dead I saw you dead !" I said as he covered my mouth

"Gee shush ." He said letting go of my mouth

"What the hell ?" I said lower

"It's a long story ." Owen said as we sat down

After a hour Owen explained the whole thing how billy wanted the house and threatened to kill him and based on what he's done before I wasn't shocked

"Please don't tell Tk not yet I just wanna make sure he's ready ." Owen said

"I don't know Owen ..." I said

"Please I'm begging you ."

"Fine does Michelle know ?" I asked

"Yeah I talked to her earlier ."

I got home seeing the girls eating dinner as Tk picked up their toys

"Hey what was the emergency?" Tk asked

"What emergency ?" I asked looking at my

"Your work emergency..?" Tk said looking at me putting his hand on my forehead

"Oh that just a new case thing ." I stuttered

"You should go get some rest I think being up for 24 hours is getting to you ." Tk said

"Right ." I said

I woke up from my nightmare In the bunk room rubbing my eyes I tried to catch my breath I looked around to make sure I didn't wake anyone up

I was gonna text Carlos but he would be sleeping anyways there was no point in bothering him

I looked at my phone seeing a text from Carlos I opened it seeing a picture of the girls asleep on him

I turned off my phone hearing snoring I looked at Mateo seeing he was sleeping and snoring I roll my eyes getting out of bed and walking downstairs
