I woke up to Carlos shaking whimpering in his sleep the past few days were rough for Carlos especially every night I would wake up because he was shaking or crying in his sleep
It's hard to see Carlos like that for me cause he's usually so happy and always smiling and seeing him down was just sad I knew how much a part of his life his mom was and how close they were with each other
"Baby-" I said slightly tapping his shoulder not to startle him
Carlos latched onto me catching his breath
"Sorry I woke you again ..." Carlos said
"You don't need to apologize.. but Carlos I'm getting worried this is the fifth one this week ..." I said rubbing his back
"What was it about ?" I asked
"My mom ." Carlos sighed
"I just keep ..seeing her lying on the floor .." Carlos said crying
"Hey hey hey it's okay .." I said holding him
" Carlos I know you and your mom were close but like you said she had a lot of health concerns she was in pain a lot of the time and I know you miss her .. but she's not in pain anymore and she loves you a lot .." I said looking at Carlos wiping the tears from his eyes
"How are you so good at this ." Carlos sniffled as he laughed slightly
"I learned from you ." I said looking at Carlos
"And for the record that wasn't the total reason I woke up ." I said
Carlos raised a eyebrow
"You took all the blankets your a blanket hog ." I laughed
"I am not a blanket hog ." Carlos said
"Really then who has the whole quilt right now ?" I said looking how the quilt was all over his side
"Yeah that's because..." Carlos said
I laughed at stealing back some blanket from him
" your a blanket hog ." I said
"Maybe a little ." Carlos said
" come here ." I said wrapping my arms around Carlos
