Date night take one ch.65

-later that night -
I got home later that night the house was quiet which was rare for our house I saw Carlos in the kitchen

"Hey ? The kids asleep already ?" I asked kissing his cheek

"No Judd came over and stole them he said that he wanted to give us the night off since you babysat Jace a few weeks ago plus they wanted to have a sleepover ." He said kissing my head

"Did he say anything else ?" I asked

"No why ?" Carlos said getting ingredients out from the fridge

"No reason ." I said smiling

"So I figured we could have a little date night at home maybe watch some movies cuddle ?" Carlos said I didn't even realize I was zoning out on him

"Tk?" Carlos said

"Yeah sorry that sounds nice ." I said

"Imma go change and then I'll help you make dinner ?" I said rubbing his shoulder

"Okay ." He said giving me a smile

When I got back I started cutting celery and tomatoes while Carlos cut the rest of the vegetables
I felt Carlos hand slide around my waist as he put his head on my shoulder

"Your zoning out on me what going on in that pretty head of yours ?" He said

"Sorry it's nothing ." I said leaning back to kiss him

"You sure ?" He said as I went back to chopping his hands still around my waist

"Yeah ." I said as he held my hand with the life helping me chop the tomatoes

"Thanks for the help ." I said

"Anytime ." He said kissing my neck

After dinner me and Carlos were cuddled up on the couch he was laying on my lap had us both covered up with a warm blanket the fire on and a movie playing and some s'mores on a plate that may or might not have been made over the stove

"We needed this ." Carlos said looking up at me

" we did ." I said placing a piece of s'more into his mouth

He put some melted marshmallow on his finger placing it on my nose

"No fair !" I said putting some melted chocolate on his nose

" look who's not fair now ." He said

I did it again I started raiding I could start to hear my head my fingers twitching

"Tk ?" Carlos said snapping me back to reality

"Sorry the melted marshmallow on my nose had me distracted." I laughed tickling him

"Stop that tickles !" Carlos said laughing

"You have a little something there ." I said pointing at his nose

" I believe that was the doing of you." He laughed

"Maybe it was ." I smirked

"Your such a tease ." Carlos said lifting up my hoodie

"Carlos .." I said as he looked at me

"Not tonight .." I said putting my hoodie back on

"Okay ." Carlos said smiling at me

"I'm sorry it's not you .." I said

" I know t it's fine I promise ." Carlos said laying back on my lap

It really wasn't Carlos I wasn't focused I didn't wanna be distracted by my issues I wanted to give Carlos my full attention like he deserves and I didn't think I could do that

"I'm sorry ." I said

"T it's fine there has been times when I wasn't in the mood and you were 100% okay with it this is no different let's just cuddle ." Carlos said stroking my hair out of my face

"Okay ." I said

Even though he said it was fine I couldn't help but feel bad i don't even know why it kept bothering me it was earlier I've had a bunch of other panic attacks but this time I wasn't even thinking about anything it just happened I wish I wasn't so fucked up sometimes I just wanted to be normal
