(A/N: Sorry for not updating in like 2 months, not been feeling the best, been busy and needed a break. This chapter won't be very long but think of it as a teaser for the next few chapters)
As the church bells play in the background, Eren Jaeger can be seen, sobbing with his head in his hands
The tall church building echoes with the sounds of his sobs as he's the only one left in the church
On his knees, staining the red carpet with his tears
He sobs for several minutes until his face screws with anger
Anger and hatred for the man who took his father from him
Reiner Braun
After all these years, they're still enemies
Eren slams his fist down on the floor, the sound echoes through the white walls of the sky high church buildings
'Reiner is lucky he's in prison, protected from me' he thinks to himself
'There was no need to go that far'
'He better hope he dies in there, otherwise I'm going to chop him up into tiny pieces and feed him to Bertholdt if he comes out alive'
Eren just about picks himself up from the floor as he walks away, down the church aisles in silence
The bells have stopped ringing, he's left only with his thoughts and the sound of the wind outside
He opens the door to be welcomed by the heavy rain and wind of the outside world
He doesn't even flinch to protect himself from the rain, he just walks forward, with a deadpanned look on his face
A singular tear rolls down his face as he steps into the car where Mikasa awaits him
2 months later:
Eren: "Fuck, its stings" (he says quickly)
Tattoo Artist: "Stop being a bitch, Jaeger" (he utters deeply before continuing with the tattoo)
After a few minutes Eren is left with a symbol on his chest, over his heart
A cross, with the horizontal line being slight wonky, leaning further down on the left
Eren: "Just like my father" (he whispers as he touches it)
...
Brrrrring brrrrrring
Eren: "Hello?" (He answers)
Voice: "Good evening, Eren Jaeger" (the voice says smoothly)
Eren: "Who is this and what do you want?" (Eren answers cooly)
Voice: "Good question, Mr Jaeger. Well, you see what happened to your poor father? Wouldn't want it happening to your mother now, would we?" (It threatens)
Eren: "The fuck are you trying to say? Is this a prank? I'm hanging up" (he angrily replies)
Voice: "Do that and we'll kill her right away" (It answers in the same tone)
Eren: "How do I know you aren't talking out your arse?" (He questions)
Voice: "See that lady over there? Behind car on the opposite side of the street to you"
Eren: "The one with the massive tits?"
Voice: "*sigh*, yes"
Eren: "Mmhmmm"
Voice: "Watch this" (The voice says, breaking the smooth and monotonous tone from before, replacing it with a nasty, villainous one)
Eren: "Wait, No-"
Suddenly the woman drops to the floor, clutching at her heart
Voice: "If you go and help her you'll be a suspect. I recommend you go and run, little boy" (It says in a nasty tone)
Eren obeys what the voice says and continues to walk in the same direction he was
Eren: "So what is it you want me to do?" (He asks, defeated)
Voice: "Smart. Now, in your next fight, you will take a dive against Max Payne and lose the fight"
Eren: "What's in it for me?" (He asks)
Voice: "Your mother's life" (It says bluntly)
The phone ends and Eren is left perplexed
