Chapter 38 - The Slytherin Goddess

Sarah POV

I grabbed Draco's hand and waltzed out of the school.

I was staying with him for the Christmas break. It would be fun.

The wind stung me when I moved through the icy air.

"Sarah, this will be no ordinary holiday. We have a lot of work to do."

He grabbed my face and pulled it round until I was facing him.

"Since when have I been ordinary!" I replied.

"Hmmm. Never?"

"You know the answer Draco. Never since I was born."

Draco let go of my hand and pulled open a carriage door.

The big ugly thestral standing in front of it stomped its foot with a loud thump.

Young first years swarmed around us. I pulled out my wand and started jinking them.

That got them out of my way.

Draco held out his hand to me.

I walked over and clasped on to it. He helped me in to the dim carriage and slammed the door in the faces of the others. He locked it.

I grinned out the window at the other disgruntled students.

They were beginning to make their way to other carriages.

"So, Draco," I spoke through the silence.

"Sarah dear?"

"Does our family know about... us?"

"They do Sarah. They even ran it through the dark lord. He thinks we will come in hands."

I let out my breath. That one thought had been bothering me.

The thought of the dark lord despising of us being together.

"Sarah,"

"Yes Draco?"

"Well, Alice and that new boy Ethan."

"Their way too close Draco. I can feel that something is going on."

"Especially the way they were grinning at each other this morning at breakfast."

"The dark lord will like this," I paused, "Alice Potter in love. This should be fun!"

"It shall Sarah but I have to ask you something."

"Yes Draco?"

"Your mother, shall she be coming to the manor over Christmas?"

"I suppose not Draco. She will probably be up at the school. Why do you want to know?"

"Would she like to come over on Christmas day? And stay for dinner? It was my mother's idea."

"She probably would Draco. I shall owl her."

"Good. I suppose the dark lord will want to see her soon too."
