Chapter 52 – The House In The Woods.
Sarah POV
“Come on Sarah dear, Let’s get out of here.” I was walking out of the manor with my true mother – Amanda Felix.
She was taking me out for the day. She hadn’t told me where to yet though. It was a surprise.
“Is it ok to apperate now mother?” My mother nodded in reply.
We stopped in the middle of the brown gravel covered path and I put my arm around my mothers.
She flicked her wand and we were away.
POP!
We landed on the pavement outside a muggle park. I wrinkled my nose up in desgust at it.
“I know it is disgusting darling but we have to cut through it.” My mother wrinkled hers up too.
“Is there no other way?”
“Nope. Just this.”
“Alright then.” I hated muggle parks. HATED them.
They were nasty, dirty, vile places.
I held my head up high and pushed open the tatty worn gate.
We entered the grassy park. To my left was a play park for children and to my right was a forest.
“Which way mother?” I asked my mother who was behind me.
“In to the wood. Ignore the muggle’s. They will be sorted out soon.”
I glanced over to the play park. The children and their parents were staring at us like we were monsters.
I shot them one of my famous evil looks. They shuddered and continued on with what they were doing.
My mother was right – they would be sorted out soon. The Dark Lord would make sure of that.
We were of the path now and walking in to the dark trees.
My mother stopped and beckoned on me to come to her.
“Is it all clear Sarah?”
I glanced around myself. “Yes”, I replied back.
“Good. I have something to show you, something very few have seen.”
“What is that mother?” I looked around. I couldn’t see why she had brought me on to a forest just to show me something. That wasn’t normal.
“Follow me close Sarah. I will take you to it.” She began to move again.
I started jogging to catch up. I slowed my pace when I caught up, she was taking us deeper and deeper in to the woods.
Suddenly she stopped abruptly. “We are here.”
I looked up. In-front of me was a large… stone.
“You brought me here to see a stone?” I turned to my mother shocked.
“Now, now Sarah. It is not just a stone.” She rolled her eyes at me.
