Chapter 11 - The Warning

Ginny POV

Proffessor Mcgonagle lead up in to the great hall. Now i see how the rest of my family talked about it often. It was huge! The celing had clouds drifting accross it. I was told it was enchanted by Hermione.

There was so much to look at in Hogwarts. I wish i had a hundred pairs of eyes! It was magnificent.

Dumbledore had just finnished speaking when we came in. An old black patched ragged hat was sitting on a wooden stool with three legs. I was in a line of first years. THere was about 40 of us.

The hat opened its mouth and began to sing.

Good Afternoon old and new,

Welcome back to school!

Four houses,

All bold,

All worthey,

And it is up to me to choose!,

Ravenclaw smart and wise,

Might be my choice for you!,

Or Hufflepuff patient and loyal,

Might be the place for you,

Mabey Slytherin all Pure and cunning,

Is where you might belong,

But Gryffindore for the brave at heart,

Is where you'll possibley have to stay.

This fine year i bring a warning,

To pupils and teachers too,

Some one is on the loose again,

You-Know-Who,

Once defied by a baby,

He is angry and wants revenge,

He will not stop until we pop,

So he can take over in the end,

But their is one glimmer of hope,

For the Wizzarding world to unite!

In true Hogwarts fashion,

Push the evil in to the night.

Godric Gryffindore,

Rowina Ravenclaw,

Helina Hufflepuff,

Salazar Slytherin!

Any one of you,

Could be in any house,

I'm just about to tell you.

　

　

The hall fell silent. Alice looked shocked. The hat had talked about her. I wasn't sure if i wanted to put the hat on anymore. It seemed scary. What if it looked in to my memories!

Porffessor McGonagle started to call out names.

"Sorrol Smith" "Slytherin!"

The slytherin table cheered. It continued in a similar fashion.

"Collin Creevy" "Gryffindore!"

"Hannah Keery" "Hufflepuff!"

"Luna Lovegood" "Ravenclaw!"

I had been talking to Luna on the boats. We were on the same boat coming here. She told me that she wanted to be in Ravenclaw. I was pleased for her.

Last (but not least) came my name.

"Ginevra Weasly"

I started shaking. I walked up the hall and sat on the stool. The hat was placed on my head.

"Hmm I see you want to impress your brothers," The hat told me, "You are brave yes very and loyal. There is only one place for you!"

"Gryffindore!" the hat yelled aloud.

I smiled and ran over to my friends. The table was cheering.

Dumbledore stood up, "Well its time! Lets eat!"

The plated on the table suddenly filled with food. Everything you could ever ask for.

I had second helpings, third helpings, fourth helpings!

It was delicious!

When we were all stuffed we got up and followed my brother Percy to our common room.

I walked with Alice, Hermione and Ron. Percy said the password. It was "brave".

I walked in to the common room and sank in to a big leather sofa with my friends by the fireplace.

It was nice and hot. It made me want to snooze. We sat there for an hour and a half talking about rubbish.

I was enjoying myself. I looked at the clock. It had just struck 10.30. I decided to head to bed because i had school in the morning.

I had already been showen where my room was so i knew where to go.

"Night Ron, Alice and Hermione!" I whispered and walked off up the stairs. "Night Alice!" They answered and went back to their conversation.

I walked in to my dorm. It was a long peacefull room with 5 four poster beds in it. I went over to mine. It was by the window and looked in to my drawers which had already been unpacked. I pulled a drawer out and slipped on my new pjs.

I folded my clothes and pulled back the covers on my bed. I pulled the curtain around my bed closed, got in to bed and fell in to a deep sleep.
