Chapter 17 - Hogsmead

Ginny POV

I opened my eyes. The Autumn sun was shining through the window.

I shifted. I was on.... A CHAIR!

How did i get here!

I stood up and looked around. I was in the common room.

The events of last night came rushing back to me.

"Move out of the way!" Alice ran in to the common room tears streaming from her eyes.

Hermione stood up followed by Ron.

"Al...."

She was cut off by Alice, "Oh shut up Hermione!"

Hermione looked ashtonished and Ron spoke up, "Whats wrong Alice? We want to help."

Alice let rip, "YOU CANT HELP ME! THATS THE POINT! I WANT TO HAVE NOTHING YES NOTHING TO DO WITH ALL OF YOU!"

It was good every one was in bed but us.

Alice continued, "I'm a a a a a a ,"

It was my turn to stand up and walk over to Alice who was slumped down on the floor. I shot a nasty look at my sibling for not going over to her.

"Your a what Alice?" I asked.

"A DARK WIZZARD! SNAPE TOLD ME! I WANT TO PROTECT YOU GUYS! I DONT WANT YOU TO DIE!"

Alice slumped in a pile crying.

It had took us the rest of the night to convince Alice it was not true.

She eventually agreed with us and started talking to Ron and Hermione about how much of a coincedence it was that Snapes Dark mark had burned just a few days before it.

I was curled up on a chair next to the fire.

I felt myself nodding off...

I looked at my watch. It was 8.30! It was the Hogsmead weekend!

 Everyone else would be at breakfast as we're going in half an hour!

I ran up to my dorm and pulled on my jeans and a tee-shirt. My hair was a mess.

I stopped and told my self to calm down.

Rushing was not my best point.

I had to do one thing at a time.

I ran in to our shared bathroom and went to my sink. There is a sink and a cupboard for each of the five girls in my dorm.

I brushed my teeth and washed my face.

I got my hairbrush out and pulled it through my famouse red weasley hair.

I tied my hair in to two loose plaits grabbed my money bag and wand and headed down to breakfast.

If i was lucky i woul get a slice of toast or somthing to eat on the walk to Hogsmead.

The entrance hall was buzzing with noise of exited students making their way out the door.

It was the first whole school visit to Hogsmead ever.

It was due to the fact that it was safer to be in a bigger group.

I made my way through to the Gryfindore table. It was empty apart from my friends - Hermione, Alice , Ron , Nevile and Luna.

I smiled and waved at them.

On my way over i passed Draco Malfoy and that horrible Sarah.

She was worse than Draco.

The bell rang just as i reached the table. It ment we all had to go.

Alice held me out a peice of toast and jam.

I took it and gobbled it up gratefully while they talked.

We reached the gate of the school. Alice spotted Draco and Sarah.

"Look!" she whispered, "They are usually in their common room on a Saturday!"

We all looked at her.

"Somethings up," she added worriedly.

"Alice you don't need to worry," Hermione spoke up, "Every one has to come."

"But Hermoine im sure they could find a way to stay behind."

This conversation had to be ended and fast.

"Soo," I stuck in, "Where are we going first?"

Alice , Hermione and Ron all spoke at the same time.

"Honeydukes!"

"The shreaking shack!"

"Zonkos!"

Luna was in her own world and Neville just shrugged.

"Ok then. I'll choose."

They groaned.

I say we go to Honeydukes to get some sweets. I am craving some sweet stuff!"

Alice did a victory dance and every one sighed.

Hogsmead wasn't far away so it didn't take us long to get there.

We headed in to Honeydukes.

They had everything and anything!

Chocolate frogs, acid pops, fizzing whizzbees, cockroach clusters, blood pops... eeeeeeeeewww and so much more.

I picked and payed for enough to last me a whole month.

I got a little bit of just about everything... and that was a lot.

I exited the shop weighed down. Hermione, Alice, Luna and Neville came out the same.

We waited on Ron. We couldn't reconise him when he appeared. He had 6 yes 6 big bags of sweets!

I rolled my eyes at my brother. He was a nutter.

We waked on to Zonkos. It was full of people.

I was just about to head in the door when...

... the sky went dark with smoke and noise.
