boruto pov:

today is the day of the chunin exams and also the day y/n returns, finally! I miss her a lot, words can't describe. But I am kinda glad she went away because then I didn't have any opportunities to ruin our friendship like I always do when I open my stupid mouth, but hopefully I think things through before I say something.

'today's training was awful I just kept punching trees and kicking them, the same as I have been doing the whole time, Kakashi-sensei leaves today so hopefully, we do some training like actually fighting and stuff but I am grateful he is here my fists don't hurt as much now every time I punch and my feet don't hurt as well when I kick, don't get me wrong they hurt but not as much as it did. After Kakashi-sensei leaves today it will be a week until the chunin exams and that means I will return, I might miss the open ceremony but I will be there, I will also be getting 2 random teammates hopefully they are nice, but hope your training is going well and I will see you soon. I will still keep you updated till I return'

that was the last message y/n sent me, after that no more messages came and I did stress but I told myself everything will be okay.

so here I am waiting for the entrance ceremony to begin, and everyone is looking at everyone and no one looked interested

''They look like they have some hidden strengths'' he looked at a team from the hidden stone

''We can hear you'' one of them said and turn to look at Iwabe ''our member is just a bit late but you'll take back what you said when she arrives and just because we are 2 members as well doesn't mean we are weak'' she looked at her partner and he nodded

the girl had short red hair and the guy next to her also had red hair, they didn't look older than us or younger so they must be the same age but I have never seen them in the academy before and they aren't wearing any headbands

''Where are you guys from?'' I ask and they look at us and shrug looking at us with a smirk on their face

they turn around and walk away and I hear Iwabe scoff

after the entrance ceremony, we went to thunder burger to eat something before the first exam starts and I haven't spotted y/n anywhere

''hey you mind switching with us'' someone pushed my tray of food out of the way and puts his down looking at me

''huh!?''

''there are only 2 of you and we have 3. It's only natural to seat the bigger party at the booth, right?'' he looked at his teammates

''We have 3 too. One of us isn't here yet''

''that's none of our concern'' his member with the glasses said

''there you have it. So if you get it, move'' the first guy said

y/n pov:

I was running just a tad late, what am I kidding I am really running late but when I made it to the village it wasn't noon yet so I had still had time to rest and maybe get something to eat, I sensed Boruto was at thunder burger so I was busy making my way towards Thunder burger, I already sent a message to Naruto telling him I am here and he said I just need to meet him in about 20 minutes

I open to door and enter thunder burger, It was quite packed, but I turn to look to my left and see boruto getting into some kind of fight
