3rd person pov:
'he likes someone' y/n thought as she looked down trying not to show the pain
"thats great"
Boruto's kept his hands on your face "i need your help"
Boruto was trying to build up the courage to find a way to tell you who he likes but he can't
"sure" you look up and smile at him "this person you like do I know them?"
He nods
"ooh, well then pretend like I'm that person you like and tell me how you feel and then I'll help you from there" you said
He nodded and looked you in the eyes "I really like you, after all we have been through I realized how much you meamt to me and you always make my heart beat a 1000 times faster when I see you and your smile always brightens up my day"
Y/n looks at Boruto and was speechless
"that was perfect, you didn't need my help at all"
Y/n pov:
That really was amazing whoever he likes is really lucky. I'm trying the best I can not to show the disappointment
"tomorrow go tell the person you like that exact thing, it was really great"
"why wait till tomorrow? When I just told that person" Boruto whispered
It took me a second to realise what he said and I couldn't reply, I was confused and excited at the same time
He removed his hands from my face turning to look away
"s-sorry I shouldn't have said anything"
Once I realised I haven't replied I place my hand on his shoulder and turn him towards me
"I like you too"
His eyes widend "what?"
"I said I like you too I was just afraid to-"
Before I could finish he crashes his lips again mine and once again it took me a second to realise and right before I was gonna kiss back he pulled away
"sorry I have just been wanting to do that for a while now"
I lean forward and gave him a quick peck "me too" I look away embarrassed
I felt his hand intertwine with my and the rock started glowing again
"Tomorrow meet me here again before sunset" he said keeping his eyes on the pond
"okay" I smiled as he held my hand before it was time for us to head our separate ways
The next day I wore a f/c dress and headed towards the pond and saw a blanket with a basket in the middle
Boruto appeared and looked at me
"you look really beautiful"
It caused me to blush and I looked at him "and you look handsome"
He smiled and signaled towards the blanket and we sat down. He took someof my favourite foods out and placed it on the blanket and things to drink
"so is this like a date?"
"kinda but there is another reason I wanted us to meet" He looked at me
"last night I was so scared to tell you I like you because I didn't want to ruin our friendship but somehow I found the courag to do it" he chuckled
"i was also afraid to tell you for the same reason" I smiled
"y/n??"
I look at him and he was already looking at me
"will you be my girlfriend?"
A big grin formed on my face and nodded "yes!"
"really?! "
I mentally face palm myself "of course, why wouldn't I say yes. Boruto you were the one willing to be friends with me and that meant everything to me and even though we fought I couldn't stay mad at you for long. And that day you came to rescue me I realised how important you were to me" I looked at him as a big smile was plastered on my face
"that was the day I was finally honest about my feelings for you" Boruto admitted shyly. I placed my hand on his
"thank you Boruto"
He leaned forward giving me a small peck
"no thank you"
We sat there till the sun set and infused chakra to make the rocks glow making this one of the best days of my life
Boruto walked me home and said goodnight before leaving causing me to open the door to my house with a big smile on my face
I enter the house taking of my shoes and jacket still thinking about everything that happend this afternoon
"so i assume he asked you and you said yes" My mother's voice caused me to stop thinking and also caused me to have a small heart attack
"what are you talking about?"
"boruto asking you to be his girlfriend silly" my mother chuckled "this morning when I went grocery shopping Boruto stopped me and asked my permission to ask you out"
"he asked for your permission? " I giggle
My mother nodded "yeah and after that he asked me to help him pick some food for the picnic"
I couldn't help but smile as I looked at my mother. I start wiping fake dust of my clothes and clear my throat "yeah he asked me and I said yes nothing major"
My mother couldn't help but smile "you look exhausted how about you go take a nice warm shower"
I nodded and went upstairs, going to my room first to get some new clothes and once again couldn't help but smile
After everything that went down I never thought happiness existed, but then I met boruto.
He always made me smile somehow, and obviously made me angry but no friendship/relationship is perfect and everyone has their ups and downs. Boruto and I just had more downs then ups but here we are. I have never been more happy then I am right now and can't wait to see what future awaits for me and Boruto
