Chapter 25

y/n pov

it's been 4 days since everything happened, I am currently writing a note for Boruto, yesterday I spoke to Naruto and asked him for permission to travel to all the villages Takashi told me about and he agreed he just said I should inform Shino-sensei

I finished writing the note and put it on Boruto's bed, I take one more look around before leaving and heading towards the Academy, I also told Hinata and she packed me some lunch for when I get hungry and I haven't arrived at any villages yet to rest

landing next to Shino-sensei I see the others on the water

''just focus on massing chakra at the soles of your feet'' sensei tried to motivate them, I cleared my throat to get his attention ''y/n you late''

''I am sorry sensei'' I bowed ''I came to tell you I won't be coming to the Academy for a few weeks  or even months'' everything around us went silent

''I see, Naruto told me something about this'' Shino- sensei turned to look at me and nodded ''please don't tell Boruto just yet'' I bowed again

''why not? '' I heard a familiar voice behind me ''are you going to leave without saying goodbye''

I looked behind me and saw Boruto standing there with his arms crossed and an angry expression on his face ''yes, I didn't want to tell you because I knew you would try and stop me''

''So you didn't care if I had anything to say, you always do this you act reckless and don't care if you hurt someone else in the process'' he spoke in a stern voice, I could feel everyone's eyes were on us

''I don't want to tell you because you always act like this'' I turned my back towards him getting ready to leave

''well it's too late to do anything now so just leave, just go and do what you always do, go put yourself in danger, I won't be there to protect you, and I mean you just got out of the hospital a few days ago''

''I don't need you to protect me'' I said but instantly regretting it

''ever since you linked your chakra, you have been acting as if you're stronger than us, you're not y/n, you're probably leaving to read some more scrolls, to help you get 'stronger', well then just leave'' he said everything sarcastically except the part about me leaving

I felt a pang in my heart, without saying anything I disappeared

Boruto pov:

sometimes I am such an idiot, and say the stupidest things, and push away the person I care for, after everything happened at school I couldn't get y/n out of my mind and can't believe what I told her, going home and heading towards my room I see a note on my bed

'dear Boruto if you are reading this, I already left, I didn't want to tell you in person because I was scared I  would change my mind and not want to do what I need to do, so that's why I wrote this, I am sorry I couldn't build up the courage to tell you, I will be going to different villages to get some information on my clan, I will be going to the village hidden in the stars, the hidden waterfall, and the hidden mist. I need to learn how to control the linked chakra otherwise, it will kill me, but don't worry I won't die that easily there are still things we need to do, please don't cause any trouble while I am gone'

I smack my face with both my hands feeling like a total idiot, I lay down on my bed and stare at the ceiling, a lot of things running through my mind but I fell asleep before I could think of anything

the next day Himawari was sick, and I don't know how it happened but I was sitting down with a piece of paper in front of me, I was busy writing  and telling y/n about whats happening and telling her Himawari is sick, after writing the letter, I threw it inside a box that was next to me, and sigh as I lay back in my chair
