Chapter 22

y/n pov:

''where am I? '' I asked myself looking around

''who's there? '' I turn to look behind me sensing someone

''impressive you can sense me even if I am hiding my presence '' someone said stepping out of the shadows
''Who I am is not important, let's just say I am someone who can help you'' he smirked walking closer ''I can help you unlock your  true power''

''what true power, first Boruto talks about it and know you too'' my eyebrows furrow

''ahh yes Boruto, before we start what is going on between you two, I don't get it'' he squinted his eyes his eyebrow twitching

''what do you mean what's going on? '' I cross my arms

''you know first you slap him and he then he pushed you than you act like he did nothing wrong, then you're being pushed to your bed being held down by Boruto, only  so he can apologize, then you find out who the culprit is then he calls you jealous, and you then get consumed  by the shadow and warn him to run because you don't want him to get hurt, then later that night at dinner you talk like he isn't there, then you get controlled and yet again try to do everything you can  to protect Boruto, and then he gives a big speech about weaknesses and that he cares for you more than any person, even though you fight, and still now  he visits you each day, I don't get  your  relationship'' he explained, I could hear he really sounded confused

''Why are you spying on us? '' I raise my eyebrows ''and besides nothing is going on he is just a friend''

''you don't go the length you go each day to find information just for a friend'' he  said in a stern voice ''I think you like-''

I cut him off ''why am I here, I don't have time I need to wake up, so can you tell me what you want to tell me so I can leave''

he nodded and started giving me the information, about 10 minutes later he finally finishes

''thank you is that all can I wake up know'' I  asked and he nodded

I  felt my  eyes slowly opening, I was looking at a ceiling recognizing I was in the hospital, as I sat up everything felt strange, I couldn't sense anything, I look down and examine my body not seeing any scars, I sigh in relief happy be to back

I turn towards the door as I see it open, stepping in Boruto had his head hanging before lifting it, I couldn't help but smile seeing him again before I could say anything I feel arms wrap around me, not wasting any time hug him back

''y/n I am so sorry about-''

Boruto started but I cut him off ''I was so scared that day not having control over my body, being scared I would lose consciousness and then  kill people but you were there, you prevented me from losing conscious, thank you Boruto'' I hugged him tighter a tear sliding down my cheek

''I should apologize for not believing and calling you jealous and not helping you sooner'' he pulled away from the hug wiping away the tear that slipped down my face ''I am sorry since what happened I couldn't think of  what to say to you, you did everything you could to protect me even if you were controlled, and yet I-''

''things could have been worse  if you didn't talk to Sumire and did things the way you did, and if you weren't there, like I said things could have ended worse'' I give him a small smile, we both hear the door open and turn to face it, one of the nurses walk in and drop her board she had in her hand after seeing me

she then walked away coming back with Sakura ''y/n good to see you're awake'' she smiled stopping next to me and then started examing, Boruto stepped aside and watched us ''how are feeling, does anything feel  out  of place? ''

''I can't sense presences anymore'' I look at her as she checks my heart rate

''yeah you won't be able to do somethings for a few days but after that, you will be as good as new'' she smiled

she then left leaving me and Boruto, he took a  seat on the bed and started telling me what happened while I was unconscious, I laid my head on his shoulder as kept explaining, I felt him stiffen for a moment before relaxing again, he had to leave because of school I hugged him goodbye and as we pull away we look at each other

''get well soon'' he said as we stared at each other, I couldn't help but admire his eyes, snapping out of my thoughts, I turn to look at the window

''of course and  you try and stay out  of trouble''

he soon left leaving me in the room, I laid down and fell asleep, and that night I dreamt about everything that has happened, what happened with Sumire.   I open my eyes staring at the ceiling, I sit up and look outside seeing the sunrise, I  got out of bed holding onto something so I won't fall since I am not fully recovered, they said it might take some time, and I left as soon as I got my balance 

I followed Sumire's chakra and sneaked into the place she was being held at, standing in her room looking at her as she looks outside the window, she turned to look at me, I saw her eyes widened and she stiffened for a second, I took a step forward but my legs felt weak and it caused me to fall but luckily Sumire caught me

'' I am glad your awake'' I whispered as she helped me walk towards her bed, helping me sit down, before I can say anything else I feel arms wrap around me, I look down and see Sumire hugging me tightly

'' I am so sorry for what I did I know it's unforgivable but-'' she cried but I stopped her, putting my hand on her head patting it softly

''it's ok I forgive you''

''you do?'' she pulled away wiping away the tears

''yeah, but I didn't come here to tell you I forgive you, I came because I wanted you to know I don't blame you, and I heard sensei came and talked to you, don't you want to go back to the Academy? ''

'' I do but I am afraid'' she stammered ''I am scared something will happen and I hurt the people I care for''

''When something happens I promise to help you and stop you, but I know nothing will happen or let's hope so'' I tried to comfort her the best I can "and I am sure the others will as well, they miss you, you know, you mean a lot to them you should go back''

''I assume you will go back as well''

''as soon as I recover but I have some things I need to take care of before I can go back to the Academy, but it's not like anyone would notice or even care I am not as important to everyone as you are''

''that's not true'' she stood up and looked at me ''Boruto cares''

''maybe, or he is just being nice since I live with him, he wouldn't even know I exist if I didn't take their punishments'' I scoffed ''but what matters now is getting you back''

"I don't think he only cares because you live with him, I believe deep down he cares more about you than you believe he does"

What sumire said might have caused my heart to do a little leap, but only a little one
