the words Boruto said kept running in my head

'did me leaving upset him that much. I thought it was for the best, not just only so I could train but also not to get in his way or something. He looked so happy when they got their first mission, well not actually since it was a small mission, but I didn't want to interfere with his happiness'

snapping out of my thoughts I feel a really powerful presence. I see 2 people landing and Naruto pushed Boruto behind him and I went to stand next to Boruto.

''we came to retrieve the tailed beast but just our luck to find an l/n, an Arcane and you succeded on making the chakra your own. How lucky are we?'' one of the mysterious guys said

my eyes widen, the guys disappeared and reappeared in front of me kicking me towards the wall and then kicked Naruto as well

''little l/n if you cooperate you won't die'' said the other guy known as Momoshiki

I stand up and wipe the blood from my mouth and see Boruto using the ninja tool trying to fight the enemy, but he just kept absorbing his attacks

chakra starts emitting from my body and my wounds started healing. I made my way towards the guy and while I distract him naruto took Boruto. I bit my finger and rushed towards the guy about to punch him but he dodges

I then use my other hand and touch him for a split second, that's all I need.

I make my towards Naruto, Sarada and her dad and next to us was shikadai's dad who held those mysterious guys in his shadow paralyzes jutsu but they absorbed his jutsu as well, while he was absorbing the jutsu he spoke

''I had no idea you had a l/n on your side, and not just any l/n an arcane as well. Don't think you're special or something we have a l/n too, an Arcane as well. Our l/n is just not as powerful as yours and is  on a break right now, but question do you know where the l/n come from or more like who they were closest to, they were closest with the Otsutsuki. The l/n were used to make us stronger and did anything we desired but betrayed us when that child of Kaguya, Hagoromo , made them a deal and when they betrayed us they stole some of our power and passed it on from gen to gen. They stole enough power for an army but only put the power in 2 people, the arcane's and then also started the contract. The arcane's then decided to link their chakra hoping it would make both of them stronger, but one died while the other one survived, the linking made the guy stronger since he had the previous guys chakra and the chakra they stole but he never trained to make the chakra his own or learned how to control the chakra so he died. The l/n were devasted that they lost the power but one day 2 babies were born and the chakra was sensed inside them. After that the villagers thought it's best to link, they also figured out you have to train so the one who survived trained. And so it went on for generations. Every time someone dies a new link is formed and they get all the previous arcane's chakra and the chakra they stole and you little l/n, you are one of the two you survived but you haven't unlocked the power yet and haven't trained enough yet and you know what happens if you don't train'' Momoshiki said finally finishing his long talk

''you're wrong'' I say ''I trained, and the previous said I was ready and that all I have to do is wait and the power will become mine''

''you're the child of prophecy?'' he asked

I nod and chakra start emitting from my body again ''I won't let you hurt these people''

''don't flatter yourself little l/n you may be the child of prophecy but you haven't unlocked the power and never will because we will be taking back what is ours and once we do that you die, and we will be taking the tailed beast with us'' he said as he started floating, he then made this massive chakra ball think, I don't even know what it is

I look at naruto and place my hand on his arms, giving him my chakra not that it will help or anything since Naruto is in a league of his own I just gave him the chakra to help boost him

Momoshiki threw the thing and in a blink of an eye naruto saved everyone from the attack, but Momoshiki kept throwing jutsu

''use my chakra too!" said Sasuke

''And I'll help'' I say as I did a few hand signs, I extend my arms and chakra left my body ''I'll protect the villagers' Naruto use your power to take him down''

Naruto nodded as he then stopped protecting the villagers and I took his place, f/c chakra formed around the villagers that were left in the arena and protected them from the attacks, I kept my one hand in the air and brought the other hand to my face

''how long will you last?!" momoshiki shouted

focus you can do this, I focus and then hear momoshiki shout and the attacks stop

''what did you do?'' he asked

I remove my chakra shielding the villagers and wipe my forehead ''for me to know and for you to find out''

he then looks at me before he looks at his arm ''ooh I get it when you touched my arms you put some of your blood on me and used it now to stop my attacks'' he wiped the blood away

''I told you didn't I, I won't let you hurt these people''

''But why protect people that only use you?'' he asked

''Why does everyone always say that?'' I roll my eyes ''I'm protecting these people because they are a part of the leaf village and as a member of the l/n I will protect this village''  I close my eyes focusing

''it won't work, you aren't strong enough'' he said as he raised his hands creating a beast bomb

I open my eyes again and went to stand next to Naruto ''I'm sorry, it won't work I am not strong enough and all I can do now is give you chakra that won't even help''

''y/n don't think I am expecting you to carry the lives of these people on your back, you have done plenty'' he said

''I'm not going to let him hurt these people'' I say as I cut my hand open and did some hand signs, I don't wanna do this but I have to if I wanna protect them

I look Momshiki dead in the eye ''blood style- blood boil'' I said as I looked at Momshiki focusing, I remember all the memories I have made in this village and I am not going to let the village be destroyed by the likes of people like him

''I said you aren't strong-'' Momoshiki said but stopped ''what's happening?!''

the more I remember the village and everyone in it the more I can feel I am boiling his blood, I said I would never do this jutsu because it scared me but I have to

I hear Momohiki laugh ''that's it little l/n!'' he then winched ''boiling my blood isn't a smart move and it won't work no matter how hard you try you'll only be able to boil it you won't be able to do any damage!''

he then threw the beast bomb towards us and I stopped boiling his blood since it won't be any use now

''take care of the kids'' I hear Naruto say to Sasuke, he turn to look at me and nods, I nod back and put my hands together just like he did

naruto and the shadow clones started getting immense power and stopped the beast bomb, the chakra was formed around my body and I used it to cover the villagers and boruto them as well

my legs started shaking and my arms felt weak but I kept doing everything I could, which isn't a lot at all, maybe I have only been getting in the way and we are still fighting them because I have been trying to defeat him on my own

the beast bomb exploded and I turn to look at Boruto knowing this is it

I see him looking at me and I smiled at him, I turn to look at Naruto who has been doing everything he can to protect this village

he also looked at Boruto and smiled before looking at me and smiled

''y/n! dad!'' I hear Boruto while there was a white light and before everything then went dark
