Chapter 40

y/n pov:

today is the last test of the chunin exam and I am excited, but I did kinda oversleep. I know Boruto tried to wake me up at some point but I guess he gave up and now I am running late.

when I arrived Lee-sensei was talking to everyone so I quickly went to stand behind Boruto without anyone noticing

''look who decided to wake up'' Boruto whispered and I kick him causing him to tumble a bit forward

''you should have stayed and tried to wake me up''

''and be late, no thank you'' he winced, he looks at me from the corner of his eye ''at least you're here now''

I scoff and then turned my attention towards Lee-sensei

''are you ready'' he asked

''yeah!" everyone shouted and we all then disappeared and headed towards the rooms we had to wait in

first up was Boruto and this guy named Yurui, while Boruto walked out I pulled him by his wrist causing him to stop

''good luck'' I say and he nods, I take a step forwards and give a quick kiss on the cheek ''don't want you losing on the first round''

his face was red, but he nodded and left. I turn around and see the others looking at us and I felt embarrassed, but luckily they didn't say anything they all just had a look on their faces and were all looking at each other

Boruto won

Boruto was making his way back and it was shikadai's turn and Boruto and Shikidai gave each other a high five

Boruto entered the room and looked at me ''looks like I passed''

I roll my eyes ''when did you learn that move?''

''you weren't the only one practicing'' he said he made his way towards me and patted my shoulder ''don't worry you still have time to catch up to me''

''yeah sure'' I said as sweat dropped ''please teach me your ways master Boruto''

he smiled ''I will after I beat you in this exam, you're next so good luck''

''I will defeat my opponent faster than you defeated yours'' I said

''ooh you're on'' He smiled and then extends his fist and we gave each other a fist bump

shikadai won and I was heading back

I make my way outside and went to stand in the arena

(you'll be fighting someone completely made up)

I was fighting someone from the hidden mist, she had long brown hair and brown eyes and had kunai's strapped to her leg

''I'll finish this quickly, from what I have seen your teammates have been doing all the bidding and you haven't fought at all so it can only mean you are hiding behind your teammates''

''wrong'' I said as I bite my finger, the match then started ''and I have fought, in the previous test. I am also not hiding behind my teammates I am strong enough to take care of things myself ''

she laughed as she ran towards me ''well then let's see'' she disappeared and then appeared from behind me stabbing me with her kunai but a log fell to the floor ''substitution jutsu!?''

I stood behind her pointing a finger gun towards her head ''I suggest you don't move, my blood can kill people or hurt them badly and I am sure you saw me biting my finger, and if you don't believe me look at this''

I bit my other finger and pointed it towards the wall, and a bullet hit the wall causing it to crack, it's almost like a water bullet 'the user expels a large quantity of water in the form of a powerful torrent aimed towards their intended target'
