The environment of a football game has always made her happy. Unsure if it's the sound of everyone putting aside differences to enjoy a simple game or if it's the tension of the possible victory.

Either way, the feeling is indescribable.

Mason and Hailey sit as close to the pitch as possible, cheering on all of our friends.

England won, 1-0.

Declan greets us with a large hug, nearly knocking the pair onto the floor.

"You did great." Hailey smiles, patting her brother on the shoulder.

She follows behind the two boys, eventually trailing away from them to congratulate the other players, especially Sterling since he scored the goal.

"Not even gonna give me a hug then?" A far too familiar Birmingham accent whispers in her ear.

"Oh, it's you." Hailey scoffs at him. "And no, i'm not."

"You gave the rest of the team one."

"But they're not you." She attempt to walk past him, Hailey sees his hand go as if he were to take my arm but he hesitates at the idea, finding an easier alternative.

"Hailey, please, can you just not hate me for one minute?"

"Why?" The girl huffs, stopping in her tracks to look at him.

"Because i want to talk to you properly."

"Jack, i don't have time for this. Can we do this another day?"

"Oh, yeah? What else are you going to do?" He questions, knowing the answer. She stands in front of him silently. "Exactly. Look, dont you think we could like drop this and start again?"

"Why are you saying this?" Shes genuinely confused what's come over him all of a sudden, unless there's some form of bet over this. "Is this a bet or something? This is weird."

"Not a bet, i just saw these." He takes out his phone, showing her multiple pictures and videos of them both.

"We can't do that, Jack."

"Why not, who says? Have you not matured at all?"

"I have, i just don't think this is the right time." She takes note that they're stood in the middle of the pitch, probably being the centre of most people's glances. "Let's talk about this another day, okay? Soon."

"Ah, when is soon." He stops her, understanding the fact, not even Hailey knows when soon is.

"I don't know, can i just text you?"

"You still know my number?"

"Another day, yeah?" She avoids his previous question.

He nods reluctantly. "Congratulations." Hailey says before walking away, on a hunt to find Declan.

A much needed breath escapes her lips, probably the strangest thing to happen to her all day. All this time, her and Jack have gone hating each other and he suddenly wants to drop it?

She'd be lying if she said the idea never crossed her mind, but how quickly he can change.

In fact, shes still wondering what Declan meant when he said Jack and her would be 'spending a lot of time together'.

But for tonight, it's a celebration. A celebration for the team and all of the fans.

Cameras are planted around the pitch, the boys all being interviewed.

It's a shame Hailey and Declan's parents didn't come, possible they didn't even watched it. It's almost like they changed when the siblings became adults.

They used to all be together, until Declan and Hailey could start to care for themselves and they stopped bothering, neither encouraging or supporting them.

Declan and Hailey learnt to move on though, having each other for support.

Occasionally, their parents congratulate them on our successes but it's not often. Atleast the thought is there.

One thing Hailey's parents loved, Jack. They adored him, he was like an angel that had walked into their house.

After many hours spent with the team, Declan eventually agreed to go home. Mason driving the three of them.

Three Lions plays loudly on the radio, surely awakening some poor members of this neighbourhood, but it doesn't stop them, never has.

We all crash at Hailey's house, instantly falling asleep.
