jack is the 'main' character for this part.

"Declan, can you help me?" Jack questions, following the stretches.

"With?"

"Your sister."

Declan's eyes widen, his head snapping to see the boy.

"What about her?" However, Declan knows exactly where this conversation is going.

"Does she like me?"

"Maybe, do you like her?" He retaliates.

"Do you actually know if she does or doesn't?"

"Jack. I don't know for sure, i asked but she won't confirm it, she's saying you're just friends. But i find it hard to believe."

"I don't know what we are-"

"Ask her then." Declan cuts him off.

"There's nothing between us, at the minute anyway."

"I mean, she probably likes you, have you seen her, she likes anyone with a pulse." He laughs, mocking his sister is probably one of his favourite things to do, not because he doesn't like her or anything, it's just funny. Jack throws him a cold glare.

"I'm joking, i'd say ask Maura."

Jack shrugs, not thinking of that before, giving a simple 'okay, thanks' to Declan before paying attention to the stretches again.

It's been weird for Jack lately, he doesn't exactly know how he feels for Hailey, but he knows there's definitely something, but when hasn't there.

On the other hand, he knows nothing about what Hailey is thinking, so he's unsure if he should attempt to move forward or to leave it.

It's like he's getting the same tingles he used to get when she'd kiss him, play with his hair, wear one of his shirts, even just coming to a game, all simple actions but made him feel happy, comfortable and made his cheeks become pigmented.

Still, she's the first person he looks for in the crowd, he knows she's not there for him, everyone knows that, but the fact she's there and watching him, gives him that extra motivation to play the best he can.

As he's said, he hasn't watched his favourite movie since they broke up to try fade out the longing memories of her, he figured if he avoided things that was 'their' thing, it'd help him forget about Hailey.

It never did.

'Hating' her, was only to try make himself believe that he does.

When you make yourself believe in your own lie, it becomes true, right?

Think about it, if you convince yourself something is real, your mind will automatically believe in that without a doubt, it's fascinating, really.

But, as soon as Jack laid eyes on her again, and could properly talk and look at her, it's been hard for him to ignore the underlying feelings that he's been pushing to the side.

The only con, he doesn't know what Hailey thinks, it's all he can wonder.

Declan's right, messaging Maura is his best bet, her probably knowing more than anyone else, but then there's Mason.

Mason and Hailey are also best friends, he's portrayed a brother figure in her life alongside Declan, so why wouldn't she tell him.

There's a handful of people she could talk to about this, making it harder for Jack to get the honest truth.

He resorts to messaging Maura first.
