It's been two days, and now it's game day.Hailey and Maura are driving to Wembley, Hailey wearing her 'rice' shirt as usual and so is Maura, having stole one from her best friends wardrobe.
They blare music through the car, singing along to the lyrics, eventually pulling through to the entrance.
Due to the fact of them being 'family', they get to sit in good seats, close to the front.
The game starts, both national teams filing onto the pitch to sing the national anthem, and then the game kicks off.
Nobody scores in the first half, tension seriously rising in the arena.
In the second half, Havertz nearly scores, however, Pickford saving it, the ball flying over the back of the net.
Jack has also been put on, after being on the bench.
Sterling getting England's first goal, cheers rising for the boy and his success, Germany still having no goals as of now.
Germany once again, having an open shot, but just missing the goal.
The ball travels back over to Germany's net, Jack passing it to Kane who kicks it in, scoring England's second goal.
Supporters of England, shout with joy, the chance of Germany being able to win now being quite slim, which will put England to the quarterfinals.
Sure enough, England win, Three Lions playing through the stadium, fans shouting the lyrics
The boys all pile on the pitch, celebrating together.
After everything has died down and most fans have left, Declan comes over to see pretty much, his two little sisters.
Maura feels like his sister, since she's been around for many years now, bugging him the same way Hailey would.
He scoops Hailey up dragging her over the fence into a huge hug, as if she was part of the team.
"Fucking hell." She says once finally getting planted on the floor.
"I'm so happy." He notices Maura, bringing her in for a hug too. "We are in the quarterfinals."
Mason runs over, smile on his face too, but then leaving pretty much as soon after.
They watch him walk away in confusion, but seeing he's going to Kai and Timo, giving them both a hug.
"Bless him." Maura says.
Dec and Hailey nod, walking over to the three of them, Maura following the two.
It sounds like they're friends with everyone, but really, they are. They've spent time with Kai and Timo due to Mason, they deserved a win just as much as England.
"You played really well." Hailey says once they reach them, Kai nods, smiling.
Hailey opens her arms to hug the both of them, which they come in to hug the girl.
"Next time, besides, you won the Champions League and i'm sure you'll win another trophy, if not with Germany, with Chelsea for sure."
They smile gratefully.
"Thank you." The pair say.
Kai and Timo used to teach Hailey German, she got quite good at it, but she forgot a few things along the line.
"We're going to go, but we will see you all soon." Kai says, beginning to walk away.
"Definitely."
They watch as the boys walk away, with the rest of the German team.
"They're cute." Maura says once they're far away enough.
"Both have girlfriends." Mason pats her shoulder playfully.
"I didn't mean in that way."
"Sure." He laughs.
"Go say well done to your little boyfriend." Declan points out Jack to his sister who shakes her head. "Not your boyfriend, i know. But go congratulate him." He pushes Hailey in his direction, Jack seeing the act making it unable for her to turn away.
She walks up to the boy, breathing deeply as a wave of anxiety passes over her.
"You alright?" He asks her, running a hand through his hair.
"Yeah, uh, congratulations."
"Thank you." Jack smiles down at her, the conversation becoming awkwardly quiet.
"I'm going to go, but, i'll see you soon, i guess, well done." She walks away from him, genuinely wanting to fall straight into a hole, the embarrassment she just caused herself.
"Okay, bye, Hailey." He calls after her, laughing slightly at their weird encounter, she turns briefly, giving him a wave.
Again, the embarrassment.
Unsure of why she's feeling weird and nervous around Jack but she doesn't like it.
His presence makes her nervous, not like he's going to hurt me, nervous, just like a buzz in her stomach and loss for words.
Everyone knows what the small buzz in the stomach it means, but Hailey chooses to ignore it, just passing it off for some form of anxiety.
She catches up with her friends, slipping right back into the middle where she was previously, joining their conversation.
Jack still stands where he was minutes ago, watching her walk off and joining her group, smiling to himself about how happy she looks around these people.
Her happiness radiates some form of grin onto him, as if he already wasn't excited enough.
It's only when Ben throws an arm around his neck, bringing him in for a hug when he breaks out of his trance, his eyes still scanning the girl and her small group.
Jacks always admired the four of them, how close they are, like brother - sister relationships. How close Declan and Hailey are although they're siblings, they spend almost every waking minute together.
"You alright?" Ben asks him, noticing his daze.
Jack nods, still smiling. "Better than alright."
Jack and Ben walk together, finding some of their other friends, dancing around the pitch.
Music still blaring from the large speakers.
It's only good energy.
There's nothing negative about this day, everyone got exactly what they've wanted.
Jack being able to easily tell Hailey's change in behaviour, definitely meaning something deeper than she leads on.
He's been waiting for this, to get the opportunity to speak to her and to hopefully go back to how they were and by previous events, it appears he's closer than he thought.
a/n: i'm hopefully going to be THROWING out chapters since i really want to complete this book before school starts again
