Hailey spends the morning choosing an outfit, she feels the need to be dressed nicely, a gut feeling something or another will happen.

Eventually, she makes her mind up, adding light makeup to match it and waving her hair.

She folds Jacks jumper neatly, ready to pass to him, waiting on the couch for his arrival to pick her up.

He knocks on the door, which she was only expecting him to beep his horn like the day previously.

Hailey opens the door, Jack stood before it.

"Oh, hey." She wanders away to get his jumper, returning back to him.

"Hey."

Hailey locks the door behind the pair, going to Jacks car.

Once they're seated she passes him the jacket.

"Oh, yeah, thanks." He laughs, taking it and putting it in the seat behind him. "So, erm, Starbucks?"

Hailey nods.

"I want to talk to you." Jack leads on to say.

"About..?"

"Like, things."

"Stop beating around the bush, what things?" Hailey snaps.

"Us, past, what happened." He stammers, obviously nervous.

Hailey let's a sigh escape her lips. "Go on then."

Jack grins, finally, the girl is allowing him to speak about the situation.

"Firstly, i didn't do anything, you know that, right?" He looks across to the girl next to him, who sits silently. "You know that, right?" Jack repeats.

Hailey stares across at him, she knows he didn't but there's always a part of her that will throw out the what if.

"Hailey."

"It's complicated, Jack." She brings herself to say.

"How is it complicated?"

"Because, i believe you wouldn't but then again, there's always a chance."

"I wouldn't cheat on you, you think i would?" Hailey shakes her head no for a reply. "Then why say it, you're confusing me, Hailey."

"There's always a chance, Jack. You think i've slept around the whole England team?"

"No. I said Mason."

"You used it against me."

"I used it as an example, i only doubted you about that because i was told multiple times by multiple people that you have. You said it was one time, so i believe that it was one time."

"I don't think you'd cheat on me, Jack."

"Don't lie, be honest."

"I don't think you would, i choose to believe that you would never but there is always a chance, Jack and that's not only with you, everyone."

Jack now pulls up outside of Starbucks, going around the drive thru.

"Same thing?" He asks Hailey who nods, breaking their current conversation.

Jack still remembers her order, it's what she's always had and probably will have for the foreseeable future.

He orders, driving around and paying, then waiting for their orders.

"Okay, so you know everything that happened was not me?"

"Yes, i know."

"Then why did you do it?"

"Do what?" Hailey questions, confused now.

Jack pauses for a minute, going forward to get their drinks, passing them to Hailey.

"End things with us."

"Well, i didn't want to hold either of us back from our careers and also, i did slightly have doubts. Not necessarily just doubts with you, but doubts with the whole relationship."

Jack nods along, actually understanding her reasoning.

"I told you before, if it's meant to be for us then we will be brought back together." Hailey explains.

"But we've been brought back together."

"Potentially."

"Hailey, i miss you and i think you miss me too." Jack shrugs, taking a sip of his drink.

Hailey doesn't reply, instead she stays silent once again.

"Can you stop just being silent, it's getting frustrating i'm trying to have a conversation with you."

"Didn't know it was that deep."

"Oh, Hailey, don't. We're actually being civilised you're trying to piss me off on purpose, if you don't agree with me just say it."

"I do agree." She locks eyes with Jack.

It's like Jack has some form of puppy eyes, if you locked eyes with him you'd feel unable to be able to say no to anything he says, basically melting underneath his gaze.

She turns her head back forward, taking in a breath and exhaling calmly.

"I don't want to pressure anything, okay?" Jack breaks the silence, a small smile spread across his face. "I just think we should try it again."

"Jack, how have we gone from hating each other, to this, in the matter of basically days."

"We've been around each other often, meaning we can't escape and change ourselves to something we dislike. We have never actually hated one another, just thought we have and wanted to."

In a complicated way, what Jack is saying makes sense and is probably one of the smartest things Hailey has heard him say in a while.

"Do you want to try us again?"

"Maybe," Hailey looks in his direction. "I'm sorry, okay, i just don't want to say something then go against it."

"Can i take you on a date?" Jack questions, cutting off her rambling.

"What, now?"

"No, maybe tomorrow or after the next game, are you coming to that?"

"Yes, i'm coming."

"I'll the game is in two days, but i'll have training, i can meet you after training the day before the game?" Jack explains in the most complicated way he possibly could.

"I guess so. Where are we going?"

"Surprise."

Throughout their relationship, Jack would take Hailey out on dates, but would never tell her where, it was always a surprise.

She enjoyed surprises, but relied on Jack often to ensure her outfit is suitable.

"I'll make sure your outfit is okay." He smiles.

Hailey is stunned, she doesn't know what to say.

"Do you want to go home?" Jack asks.

"Uh, yeah, sure."

Hailey considers asking Jack if he'd like to come and watch a movie with her, specifically their favourite one.

She decides to bite the bullet.

He pulls up outside of her house, although she doesn't get out immediately.

"Do you want to come and watch a movie or something?" She asks, almost nervous for his reply.

She's unsure what she actually wants Jack to say, but after how nice he has been recently to her she wants to sort of return the favour.

Maybe inviting him inside her house to just watch a movie isn't the smartest plan or the best one, but she did it.

"Captain America?" Jack replies with a smirk.

"What else?"

"Of course." Jack smiles.
